Melanie Griffith is an overachieving secretary from Staten Island who dreams of a corner office and a Manhattan zip code. Just celebrating her 30th birthday and fired from another job she ends up working for Sigourney Weaver, a successful businesswoman who is everything Melanie wants to be. When Sigourney has a skiing accident after stealing one of Melanie's business ideas she turns the tables. steals back her idea and decides to break the rules to get to the top.
