Word World Review

When I first came upon the show Word World I was very impressed on how every character and object on this show were constructed by the actual letters that spell their name.For example the character frog has the letters FROG to make up his body parts, its brilliant in my opinion.  This is a fun educational program with repetitive songs and rhymes that teach children how to spell and read.  Before I knew it my then 2 year old was spelling words like drum, book, sheep, elephant and the list goes on.  The reason I feel this is such a great productive show is my son was diagnosed with Autism and never really spoke but the minute he started watching Word World he was spelling and reading out loud along with the characters.  His speech therapist watched one show with him and was amazed at his progress she highly recommended that he kept watching this show. Today my son is in school and he is reading and spelling at a higher level than his peers and I know that it is thanks to the help of this show Word World.
