The Case

I was introduced to woot.com by a good friend of mine, and, since then, I’ve tried to check the site every day. It’s a great place for techies, nerds, geeks, and housemoms alike. Woot caters to everyone!

The Good

The basic premise of woot.com is one product per day. That’s right – you won’t spend a lot of time shopping or surfing on this site – you visit, you see, you decide, you buy, or you leave. It’s all very simple, which I love. Since I’ve become a regular visitor at the Woot website, I’ve seen everything from video cards to digital cameras, from the little, round, self-propelled vacuum cleaners that suck up your dirt and entertain you at the same time to wide-screen televisions.

I guarantee that you won’t forget the address of this site, and that’s handy for checking it with only a few seconds of spare time at a public computer or at a buddy’s house. Even better, this site is all about deals, so you don’t have to worry too much about your funds – you’re getting a good price at Woot.

But, in spite of all these wonderful things, my favorite feature of woot.com is the product description. That’s really why I go there everyday – whoever writes the paragraphs describing the item in question, he (or she) deserves a raise! Talk about entertaining. You’ll laugh. I guarantee it!

The Bad

Woot’s not so much bad as popular. They get a lot of traffic, and if you don’t jump on your desired item, there’s a good chance it’ll be gone by lunch. Also, there’s no guaranteeing the quality of the items you’ll be seeing. They’re not terrible or anything – it’s just possible that they may not be Grade A material. It’s the price you pay for the deals!
