Woman's Day

Not one of my favorites.

I have tried many times to read Woman's Day Magazine when I was stuck at a Doctor's office or standing in line at the supermarket. However, I found that I skip over almost all of the articles. It's also a very sexist magazine as it literally gives recipes, cleaning advice, and advice for kids. It's great if you're a stay at home Mom, but I did not find anything too interesting in this magazine. I have read several of them, but just can't get into Woman's Day Magazine.

Everyday Essentials

If you are like me, your days are pretty hectic and the last things you want to think about is what to make for dinner or how to find the perfect dress to fit your figure.  Woman's Day is a great magazine for any woman, and is filled with essentials to life to help cut down on the stress and business.  It offers amazing lifestyle tips on how to carve out just a few minutes of your day for some "me time" and relaxation as well as offers helpful tips to making life easier.  I love recipes and this magazines offers great recipes, quick fix meals, and luscious desserts.  It usually features a decadent delight on the cover and goes step by step so that any novice in the kitchen can get a yummy meal on the table.  The pages also feature questions from readers and answers about everything woman from experts.  This magazine comes monthly and I always look forward to reading it from cover to cover to learn something to make life a little easier and tastier in the kitchen.

Practical, useful tips in Woman's Day magazine.

5

Woman's Day magazine has been around forever, it seems.  My Mom picked up the magazine every time it came out at the grocery store.  So I thought this wasn't the magaziine for modern-me.  I was wrong!  There are so many magazines with more up-to-date, cutting edge photographs and headlines.  But Woman's Day is the magazine I routinely clip articles and recipes from.  It's real-world! I've been greatly enjoying the green tips.  CDs as reflectors on bikes or back packs.  Wine corks wired together as trivets.  A place to send old VHS tapes to a non profit who reuses or recycles them.  Who knew??!  Woman's Day also offers great contests online for cash, prizes, and trip.  And the variety of recipes for economical meals or indulgent desserts is wonderful.  I do chuckle though over the incongruous placement of articles on healthy living and sumptuous treat recipes.  But life is all about balance, right?

Great magazine, entertaining reading!

This magazine has been around for a while.  When I was first married and with a little baby, money was tight.  Yet having a family made me want to have a nicer living space and wanting to hand-make things.  There weren't a lot of resources around about cooking, crafting etc without having to pay a lot and we just didn't have the funds to do so.  I could afford Woman's Day however.  It was a little treat at the grocery store.  I still love to read it to this day and I look forward to it coming in the mail.  It's a great magazine, one which interests me from front to cover.  I always learn something from this magazine - whether it be how to make something new or how to use every day prodcuts to clean my home. It offers great tips, encouragement for woman and new ideas.  This is a little indulgence of mine - I love to take it with me to get a pedicure and just sit back and relax and read.  As I said in my review quote, great magazine and entertaining reading!  It's true!

Same Old Lady Stuff

I got a free subscription to this magazine, probably from some website where I earned points.  It is very similar to Better Homes and Gardens.  They have got recipes, household tips, diets, stuff about children, information on credit, health, and other topics.  The magazine cover is usually something cute, maybe an unusual cake or a holiday decoration. Whenever I receive the magazine, I will spend about forty minutes flipping through each page.  Every now and then, something will catch my eye, and I will stop to read it.  I rarely put it aside to read later.  Like any other monthly magazine, it is loaded with advertising.  Naturally, the ads are geared toward women. One thing I like about Woman's Day is that their website has a nice selection of sweepstakes on it to win different things from their advertisers.  I notice that when you first access their website, a small video starts playing, which is a bit annoying.  I always have to remember to turn off the volume. It's all right.

Woman's Day Magazine has it all!

I have been reading this magazine for years, a classic with anything and everything in every issue. From beauty tips and secrets to the best new products. In health Woman's Day has great tips for exercising to the most up to date ways to promote great health.  The decorating ideas are always worth a look, I have gotten many fantastic ideas in trying to update my home or make a something new and great for a holiday.  Every month they have some great recipes to try whether a time saver, a new spin on a family favorite or a delicious new desert to try. There are also the great ideas I have read from reader contributions.  I especially enjoy the issues that are themed on the holidays, giving me ideas on how to make my house feel festive for each occasion. I have been subscribing to Woman's Day for the past couple of years & enjoy that my issue comes in the mail before it is available on the new stand.

Recent article incredibly insulting to women!

1

In a recent article about how to go about asking for a raise, Woman's Day's #1 piece of advice to women was to use Summer's Eve products, including their "Feminine Wash" and "Feminine Cleansing Cloths." Their LAST piece of advice was to remind your boss about what you've done for the company/why you deserve a raise. Could this supposed-to-be-informative article possibly have been more insulting to women? I don't think so. I am NEVER buying Woman's Day again!

I love my Woman's Day magazine.  Woman's Day covers home decoration, food, health issues and gardening all in one magazine.  I read each issue cover to cover the first chance I get when it arrives each month.  I would recommend Woman's Day magazine to any woman.

I really enjoy Women's Day magazine! It is super fun, and they always have great tips and idea's for the upcoming holidays! They have fashion tips and places to buy clothing that are budget friendly! I can't go without this subscription, it is one of my favorites! They normally have coupons in every issue, which is a plus for me. The recipes are always fun and a new way to cook something. I like that they are different and give you options to try new things!

I read it from cover to cover

I got a Women's Day subscription as a freebie and have really been enjoying it. The covers are appealing and the articles are down to earth and relevant. It does seem to have a lot of advertisments but i guess thats how they can afford the free subscriptions. The magazine is a nice mix of food, family, fashion and fun. Got some great exercises from the latest issue.  I look forward to getting it in the mail.
