I am a huge believer in the quality and durability of Wolfgang Puck products. I own some of his cookware, appliances, accessories and of course bakeware. Two bakeware products that I use often and think highly of are the Wolfgang Puck Bistro 3-piece Stainless Steel Mixing Bowl Set and the Wolfgang Puck Bistro 7-Piece Mixing Bowl & Whisk Set. I thought it would be interesting to see how they compare.

About the two mixing bowl sets:

Wolfgang Puck Bistro 3-piece Stainless Steel Mixing Bowl Set (Orig. Price $29.90)

This three-piece stainless steel mixing bowl set includes a 1 1/2 quart bowl, a 3-quart bowl, and a 5-quart bowl. These bowls contain 18/10 stainless steel, are dishwasher safe, and come with a manufacturer's lifetime limited warranty. Although made from stainless steel, the bowls are actually quite lightweight but while mixing, they do not move around. The inside of these bowls are imprinted with measuring units to make mixing easier. Storage is easy because each bowl fits inside the other. Unfortunately, these bowls do not come with covers and even though they are intended just for mixing, I use mine for salads and leftovers. I find it necessary to cover them with either plastic wrap or aluminum foil.

Wolfgang Puck Bistro 7-Piece Mixing Bowl & Whisk Set (Orig. Price $29.90)

This seven-piece mixing bowl set is made of stainless steel and includes a 1 1/2 quart, 3 quart and a 4-quart bowl as well as a 12"L stainless wisk. Each bowl comes with opaque white plastic covers that I absolutely love! Finally, I am able to store food without digging in the cupboards for the plastic wrap or aluminum foil. I can serve food right in the mixing bowls because they are so attractive and if there are any leftovers, I can simply snap on the top and place it directly in the fridge. If there aren't any leftovers, washing these bowls are so easy because they are dishwasher safe. The wisk is a bonus to have and is quite durable. This set comes with a manufacturer's lifetime limited warranty.

How do they compare?

They both are stainless steel, are dishwasher safe, have a limited lifetime warranty and are both attractive. Surprisingly, they both cost the same amount of $29.99! What makes them different? The obvious difference is that the second set comes with exactly what I was missing in the first set! The lids! It also comes with a quality wisk that I use all the time. The first set does have the measuring units inside the bowls, which is convenient for those who will be primarily using them for mixing. They are lightweight unlike the 7- piece set and easier to maneuver when mixing or hand washing.

My choice?

For me, since I am not much of a baker, I choose the 7-piece set because of the lids and the bonus wisk. They are both quality sets and choosing between the two just depends on what they will be used for.
