Sometimes I just want to zone out and have a good laugh and I got it from this movie but it was so crazy it just didn't do a great job. Larry the Cable Guy plays a small town Sheriff who thinks he witnessed a kidnapping so he springs into action to save the damsel in distress. He wants to be a F.B.I. Agent and feels this would be his big chance.

As he tries to get this woman named Madeleine (Ivana Milicevic) to Chicago to testify against some crooked guy they run from F.B.I. agents who originally had Madeleine in their custody. Turns out the agents are crooked and well...can you say Keystone Cops?

Filled with crude humor throughout this is not for the young eyes of our children but for 17 on up it would be okay. At first Madeleine is determined to get away from Sheriff Larry Stadler (Larry the Cable Guy of course)but she begins to warm up to him after a while. I guess this is a typical Larry the Cable Guy movie in that it is crazy and crude. Don't get me wrong I am not a stiff shirt but this movie goes a bit far even for me. I did laugh most of the movie but mostly because of the stupid things that went on.

I like Larry the Cable Guy and enjoy his comedt routines but for some reason this movie just didn't do much for me at all. The acting was good but it just seemed too far fetched, maybe I am getting old and my tastes in movies is changing. I am not sure what exactley turned me away but I wasn't impressed at all.

Bottom Line

I still gave it 3 stars as it is funny but I wouldn't have paid to watch it nor would I buy the DVD either, my son borrowed it from a friend so I watched for free. It runs for 97 minutes and was a way to kill time tonight since I was bored and nothing on TV. It would be worth renting if you got more than one movie to watch but not by itself, at least not in my book. I would still recommend it but with the above warnings about the crude humor.

It's not bad, it just could have been better.......trying to hold together right now Anna, started passing out for no reason and seeing my Dr. in the morning...;(

Hi, Ron! My interest meter went up a little when you mentioned it was not for younger viewers. Sometimes it's fun to check out a movie just to see how offensive it can get! Maybe I'll rent it from Netflix. How are you doing, Buddy?

I feel the same way about this one. It was pretty forgettable.

I agree he is a much better stand up comedian but if he is with others in a movie he isn't too bad...;)

richelmore wrote on Sep 2, 2008 at 1:34PM

I totally agree. Not a very good one. I'd definitely never spend money on this thing.

I like Larry but think his range of humor is limited. I just like his standup routine with Foxworthy and the other two. ;>
