Great Targeted Workout

I like Mari Winsor and have done several of her workouts. She has a nice, calm manner to her and she always makes you feel very chill while you're working out with her. This Ab Sculpting DVD was part of set that I received as a gift. It's a nice, short program of just about twenty minutes which means you can squeeze it in just about any time you have a few minutes. This is not really for newbies though. You really need to have gone through her other DVDs first so you really know how her exercises work and her technique. This series of pilates exercises specifically targets the abs (what Mari calls the "Powerhouse"). It does work your abs thoroughly from almost every conceivable angle. The Hundred is my particular horror. It is so difficult to make it through the entire thing! I was gritting my teeth trying to make it to the end! This is a great targeted workout to work into your schedule of Mari's other DVDs.

Winsor Pilates Ab Sculpting really works!

I am a 22 year old female who has been active in sports and excercise for most of my life. **Pros: **This 22 minute workout is a quick and effective way to get flat, toned abs.  Mari Winsor is a well-known trainer who works with a lot of celebrities.  The key, as she mentions several times, is to pull your belly in toward your spine each time you breathe out.  She is a laid-back but fun and encouraging leader.  She is not actually doing to movements herself - she has several demos - which I think is good because she is able to explain a lot more and throw in key reminders throughout the exercise.  She also has a demo who is always doing the lower-intensity version of the exercise.  You can really feel these exercises working, especially the last few! **Cons: **This will only work if you eat sensibly and do the video at least 3 times a week, which goes with any video and I guess isn't really a con?? :) Also, as with any video, I recommend interchanging it with either other videos or other types of exercise (walking, running...)  to avoid becoming bored! **Overall: **This video is great, and it really works.

Winsor Pilates AB Sculpting workout dvd is a great way to workout your abs.  The Winsor DVD moves through a lot of standard pilates ab workouts at a pace that keeps your abs almost constantly engaged- hundreds, V-ups, seal, etc- yet still gives you time to breathe and use proper technique in your exercises.  You'll find some of the exercises easier than others, but hopefully will eventually be able to do all the way through.  Prior to doing this video, I had done some basic pilates at my local gym.  The instructor has a smooth voice and gives clear instructions.  The exercises are also modified so you can choose your fitness lever.  I like to combine this DVD with a form of cardio, such as running.  It's around 20 minutes long, which is a nice amount of work.  I've been doing the video for a year or so now and still find it challenging.  Overall the Winsor Pilates AB Sculpting video is a great ab workout and a good addition to a workout rotation.
