When purchasing our new Toshiba laptop, it came with Windows 7.  We bought this the day it came out.

First of all Windows 7 does not accept outlook express, so we had to use their email, and then it took a day, to find out how to put Len's and my 'cable' email addresses in.

Next the Norton anti virus, that was in the computer, is only for a trial period.  We had only just purchased a new Norton a couple of months ago, as ours was running out on our three computers.  We found out that the one we purchased is not compatibly with Windows 7.

The final straw that made us take the laptop back was, that we couldn't get either of our two printers to work with it.  They are both H.P. all-in-one printers, so hubby phoned Toshiba and they said to contact H.P.  He phoned H.P. and the guy was really helpful and said that he could get it working for us.  Hubby gave him all the details, and then he said that he would have to take $139 from a credit card, before he could go ahead.

Windows 7 doesn't seem to work with any of the thousand or more dollars we have spent on recent equipment.

With any new Windows product you have to be willing to spend mega bucks to bring everything up to the new level.

We will buy again it about a years time, when we think we have had enough value out of the products we already have.  Then we won't mind spending the extra money to bring everything up to the new Windows 7 standard.
