I was offered Windex Outdoor All-In-One Window Cleaner in exchange for an honest review of the product. I had never heard of this particular Windex product prior to this and was excited to try it. I have to tell you, it really is a great product.
What is in the Kit
How much it is and where to find it
This kit can be found at most grocery stores and online for around $14.99. Since I haven't yet had the need to purchase refill pads, I can't say for certain how much they are. After browsing the net, it appears that the cleaning pad refills come in a pack of two for around $4.99. Considering that would clean forty windows, it seems like a quite a good price.
Assembly
Assembling the handle was as simple as snapping together the pole sections and inserting the finished product into the cleaning head. I removed the dry pretreated pad from its packaging and placed it firmly on the textured strips on the cleaning head. It stuck like Velcro and although it was a bit oversized, it did fit securely. This entire assembly took only about two or three minutes. That works for me!
Cleaning with it
I recently strained my trapezius muscle on my right side and being right handed, it would be extremely painful for me to wash the windows and big glass storm door by hand with a spray cleaner and paper towels. I was impressed how very easy and quick the cleaning process was with this glass cleaning tool. I barely had to do any work at all. I wet the cleaning pad and then sprayed my storm door down. I used the tool in an up and down motion and it only took about five swipes. I immediately hosed the door down again and then decided to do the inside of the door as well. I opened it and put the latch on to keep it open and just closed my front exterior door to avoid getting the inside wet. When both sides of the storm door were dry, I honestly have to say that I was extremely impressed. There were no streaks and boy did it shine. It was hard to tell there was even glass there.
We live in a raised ranch and even though the tool reaches up to 11 feet, I wasn't able to get at the top windows. The box says that the threaded handle fits standard extension poles. My husband says he has one so it looks like the top windows will be getting done tomorrow!
What I don't like about the tool
To be honest, there really isn't much negatively to say except that the cleaning tool doesn't disassemble making storage a bit inconvenient.
My Final Viewpoint
NOTE: the reviewer indicated that they received a sample of Windex Outdoor All-In-One Window Cleaner
