Windex Outdoor All-In-One Window Cleaner —

Nobody likes cleaning windows. The time involved, the stooping, the stretching, and other factors make window cleaning a task that many put off for as long as possible. This fact holds even more truth when outdoor windows need to be cleaned and shined. It isn't easy reaching the windows and the task is often postponed indefinitely as homeowners wait for the "right time"- a time that often never arrives. But today, there are many ways to make the task of outdoor window cleaning more bearable and one way is by using Windex Outdoor All in One Glass Cleaning Tool, a simple solution to the outdoor window cleaning problem.

Cleaning Tool Commentary:

Windex Outdoor All in One Glass Cleaning Tool comes in a box and consists of seven parts: A cleaning head, a handle, four interlocking pieces that form the pole, and one cleaning pad. Assembly is easy and requires snapping the four pole pieces together first; the handle on one end of the long pole; and the cleaning head on the other end. The pieces fit together by lining up small arrows on each piece, pushing together, and then twisting to lock into place. The cleaning pad attached by simply pressing it against the textured surface of the cleaning head. All that is necessary now is to wet the window, glide the cleaning pad across the glass surface, and then rinse it off.

Windex is a popular name in window cleaning and it's one of those products that most every American alive has used at least once. Most people are familiar with the Windex trigger sprayer- an old favorite that has been helping people keep their windows shiny and clean for decades. Windex has quickly expanded its product offerings in recent years and among its new products, the Windex Outdoor All in One Glass Cleaning Tool is one that is most useful and unique.

Like I stated before, window cleaning is an often dreaded task and outdoor window cleaning is even worse than indoor window cleaning for many reasons. Fortunately, the Windex Outdoor All in One Glass Cleaning Tool helps to eliminate some of the common complaints. First, it makes outdoor window cleaning much faster. It takes far less effort to spray the windows with a hose, rub them with this cleaning tool, and then rinse them off. There is little effort involved and almost no strain. It takes very little effort to scrub the window with this tool, and because it is faster, you don't have to worry about spending excessive time outdoors in the sweltering summer heat. In a matter of minutes, you can clean several windows. There is no need to dry, either. You just rinse off the suds and walk away. The sheeting action of the liquid leaves a clean, smooth, streak- free surface behind. I was skeptical about the streak- free shine that the manufacturer claims (doesn't just about every glass cleaner make this promise?), but what Windex says is true: There is no streak, and the window dries very quickly.

One other nice feature with the Windex Outdoor All in One Glass Cleaning Tool is that a single cleaning pad is good for many cleanings. When I first heard about this product, I was concerned that a single cleaning pad would only be good for a few windows before having to be discarded. The need to purchase additional cleaning pads would quickly negate any convenience advantage that such a tool would provide. However, I am happy to report that the Windex Outdoor All in One Glass Cleaning Tool is good for twenty windows. That is a larger number than I expected, and it is enough that most people will be able to clean all or a large majority of their windows with a single cleaning pad.

This window cleaning device is simple, yet effective, and it makes the task of cleaning windows much easier. So, with so many great things to offer, does this cleaning device have any drawbacks at all? I can think of exactly one: Its limited reach. The pole is four feet long, so depending on your height and arm- length, you may or may not be able to reach certain windows. There should be no problem reaching lower level windows, but depending on the height of your second story, you will likely have to reach for the ladder if you want to clean every window. I didn't waste my time using this for my second story windows, but I can see how this four foot length would be very frustrating. The pole can almostreach the second story windows of some houses, but not quite. If a ladder is required to complete the job (and it likely will be if you have a multi- story dwelling), then some of the convenience and time- saving advantages will be lost.

Bottom- Line Viewpoint:

Clean, shiny windows are great but the act of cleaning isn't and this task ranks as one of the most often postponed of all household chores. But Windex Outdoor All in One Glass Cleaning Tool does make a difference. It takes much of the physical labor out of window cleaning, leaving a nice, clean, streak- free surface behind. Okay, so it won't reach the second floor of your home without using a ladder or attaching to a longer pole. But it will make your first story windows clean and shiny with minimal effort, making the Windex Outdoor All in One Glass Cleaning Tool a very good product that everyone should try.
