I have always been a loyal Windex fan, and have always had a stash of that beautiful blue cleaning product in my cabinet. Well, ever since having children, I have been trying hard to "green" up my cleaning regimen, so I thought I would give the ammonia free version of this tried & true product a chance. Let me just say, I am extremely disappointed. As most people know, the original version of Windex is known to leave windows and mirrors spotless, sparkling, and streak free. Well, this just has not been my experience with this product. Every single glass surface, window and mirror in my home are covered in a nice streaky residue thanks to this mediocre product. Obviously, I am not a professional window-washer, but, it should be pretty easy to spray it on, wipe it off and have clean windows and mirrors. After using this, all of my surfaces just look dirty, actually dirtier than before using this - if that's even possible. I have tried it multiple times, wanting to really like it, but sadly, this product just doesn't live up to the Windex name, and I will be going back to the original.

This product definitely gives a streak free shine and while the product smells ok, it is not my favorite scent though it is better then the ammonia scent other brands leave behind. It is a strong cleaner and will get your windows to be as sparkly as if a maid came in and washed your windows for you. I just have a hard time getting past this particular scent. It does not smell like fresh rain, it just smells funky. Performance It works like it should. This product will clean your windows to a delightful result. Scent I absolutely abhor this scent. It claims to smell like crystal rain, I think it just smells bad. The world would be in deep trouble if our rain smelt like this product. It smells more like chemicals than rain. I was absolutely disappointed with the scent. I am a huge fan of Windex but they epically failed when they designed the scent for the crystal rain version of Windex.

This stuff works just as well as the original windex but it has a really nice scent to it. I really like to use this in my bathroom because I have found it leaves it smelling fresh and clean for a really long time. I have nothing bad to say about this great and long trusted brand.

We actually accidently purchased the Windex Crystal Rain Glass Cleaner when trying to get a different Windex product. I have to say that was the best accident ever because this stuff smells so good. It does not over power you when you are cleaning but makes cleaning very pleasant.

I have tried glass cleaners in the past that have left a residue on glass and windows that was hard to remove, or it left stains if it happened to get on other surfaces. This cleaner is great, and it smells wonderful. I've used glass cleaners that were so bad they chased everybody out of the house, lol! I especially like it for mirrors and windows, it left virtually no streaks on surfaces, and I didn't have to use as much product when using it. On other surfaces it works just as well. The fact that it's eco-conscious is another good reason to use this product, as there are a lot of harmful things out there. I don't have any kids, but I do have animals, (two cats), so I try to be careful what I use inside the house. Would recommend it.

I have really only tried three different window cleaners that I can remember, so this is a review and comparison based on just those three.  They are this Windex Crystal Rain glass cleaner, good old-fashioned vinegar, and Great Value Window cleaner.  The Great Value glass cleaner that I used left streaky lines all over my windows that I didn't notice until the sun shone through them the next day.  Vinegar works great at cleaning without streaking and is unsurpassed in getting rid of stubborn hard water spots on my windows, but it really doesn't smell very good.  Which brings me to this Windex Crystal Rain Glass Cleaner.  It cleans really well without leaving those ugly streaks on my windows--they are crystal clear when I'm done cleaning them with this.  Plus I love that the Windex Crystal Rain leaves a nice scent when I'm done cleaning.  In most cases, I don't see the reason to spend more money on a brand name product when a store brand product works just as well, but there are exceptions to that--and this Windex Crystal Rain is one of them.

Windex takes their classic glass cleaner one step higher. Purple has always been my favorite color, so when I spotted a new Windex in purple, I immediately wanted to buy it.... and I've been buying it ever since. I love the smell as I spray, and the versatility of things I can spray it on. Makes cleaning my bathroom and kitchen so much simpler. I can spray it on mirrors, glass, bathtub, toilet, counter-tops, and even my stainless steel refrigerator. With an adorable 8 month old that requires more and more attention, this cleaner has been such a "mommy-saver" because when I get a few minutes, I can go spray every surface, wipe it clean real quick, then move on to the next thing. Saves me time and energy, both of which I need lots of everyday! This product would be a bonus to every household, apartment, or even college dorm, because it simplifies how many cleaners you need, cuts down on how much money you're spending on cleaning supplies, and helps you get the job done quickly!

Windex has always been the best cleaner when it comes to cleaning glass for me. But this new kind is wonderful! The other one was very strong smelling and I didn't want to use it around the kids. But this one smells great and I can clean and watch the kids at the same time! I love the fact that it cleans just as well as the more potent ones, too...I don't have to clean and then re-clean...once and it's done! And it's just like the commercials - it really does do a good job so that you can see right through it! Although it has no bearing whatsoever on the quality or workability of the product, I like the color too! :-) Purple is my favorite! This was given to me as a gift, so I can't give my opinion as to how much it costs or if it's expensive or not - that's really important to me. But I can say that if I ever need cleaner again, I would definitely choose this one over other ones out there!

  I bought Windex Crystal Rain to clean the windows in my car. After 4 tries with lots of elbow grease there remained a streaky sheen across the entire glass surface inside and out. After lots of aggravation I squirted a little vinegar mixed with water on the window and wiped it clean in one try.  I wasted good money on a bad product. Years ago Windex was a reliable product. What happened?

What a wonderful product  I have found in crystal rain windex. Not only is this a trustworthy company, it is a brand I trust completely!Crystal rain windex seems to clean my windows without leaving any streaks and  leaves a nice fresh smell as well, even the outside of your windows have a clean smell and people comment when they walk by how fresh it smells around my apartment. Crystal rain  Windex is easy to use, is  a natural rain fresh smell, cleans your glass fantastically and there  are no streaks left behind as with cheaper store brand names.When it comes to doing a great job and performing like a product is supposed to, you cannot beat the power of windex crystal rain. I have been using it ever since it came out and it is a fresh new innovative idea, who ever would have thought you could purchase scented window cleaner and that it would actually work!!This crystaal rain windex is a product i will never stop using and I keep several on hand just in case I ever cannot find it.
