I am in no way a great baker. I actually don't even like to do it but with two children between the ages of 7 and 10, I bake to make them happy. I bake mostly cookies and when taking the cookies out of the oven, I was letting them cool on a baking sheet. Sometimes the bottoms would continue to cook and be burnt and most times, they stuck to the cookie sheet. I found the Wilton Excelle Elite 3-Tier Cooling Rack at Amazon.com for only $10.99 and it I love it!

About this cooling rack...

This cooling rack stacks to become 3-tier and collapses for easy storage. The steel wires are reinforced with a nonstick coating and the rack is dishwasher safe. Each grid measures 15-7/8 by 9-7/8. There is a 10-year warranty.

What I think about this product...

This is one of the handiest kitchen items that I own. I am now able to take cookies right off of the cookie sheet before they stick and set them on this cooling rack. The wires are close enough together that I never have to worry about smaller cookies falling through the cracks. Because it is 3-tiered, I can use it if I am making a large amount of cookies or I can remove a rack if I only need it for a small amount. The legs on the rack are sturdy and the wires are strong enough to hold heavier foods. Never has a cookie or any other food item stuck to the rack and clean up is a snap. These racks can but put right in the dishwasher or easily hand washed. When I am not using this cooling rack, because it is collapsible, it folds flat and can be easily tucked away without taking up any of my counter space.

My Final Viewpoint...

The Wilton Excelle Elite 3-Tier Cooling Rack is durable, multi-functional and affordable. I love how easy it is to use, clean and store. I recommend this product and I am giving it a 5 star rating.

Love the stacking feature!

this is perfect, i have lots of counter space but with three girls helping (and eating as fast I it cools) the stacking would be perfect instead of across the counter top.

I will have to check this out! My daughters and I love to cook and I do not have a lot of countertop space, I could stack them! Great review!

This review made me wonder if my racks are stackable. I never tried it, but maybe they are! If not, these would save a lot of counter space. :)

Laurie where were you 2 months ago on this review. I just bought a one tier rack for $12 I think from, oh, Pampered Chef. It's pretty much the same but I have wires going both ways on it. Uggggg I got burned...They are nice though, but you have three. I will keep this in mind...why not have four :)

I like the stackable idea. Never seem to have enough counter space when it's baking day...

In response to AnnaBanana's comment from Apr 19, 2008 at 5:27PM:

This wasn't a confusing question at all! I totally understand. These are three separate pieces that you can stack on top of each other. The legs fold under for storage. =)

You had me at "cookies"...hmmmmmm coooooooooookieeees.......:)

So, you mean, Laurie, that the trays stack on top of each other, it doesn't start out all attached like that? I had seen this in a catalog and it looked like a great idea but I thought you might have to stick the cookies in with the trays all on there. Boy, is this a confusing message, huh?
