If you live in the boonies, then you are doomed for good internet service. In today's world, we should ALL have a choice of who we want to use as our internet provider. You would think we live on Mt. Everest where we live. Our options are dial up and satellite! They both suck! We recently went with Wildblue Satellite through DishNetwork. They tell you that you will get $100.00 rebate. Ok, this makes you think alright, they stand behind their product. Wrong! It took 8 months to get the rebate...well they say we are too get it by December, but it has yet to appear. The email server is always down. They advertise that pages will load in 3 seconds. Apparently their 3 seconds and our 3 seconds aren't the same. Which one of us didn't learn how to count?? Our guess is Wildblue, because I can go the bathroom and get a drink before a page will load. The highest package which is 17000 megs a month is 79.99 and if you exceed that, then you are SHUT OFF! It's a greedy business if you ask me. When you try to call for customer service help, you get the runaround. No one wants to take responsibility! The weather...good or bad, plays a factor in too. A bird can fly over, and voila, connection is lost. A cloud can sneak by, same results. The sun can shine on the beam, same results. God spits a little moisture from the heavens, fuhgetabout internet!! Just if you can, gripe and complain to your cable company or phone company to get you DSL or Cable. Fight as hard as you can. Do whatevet it takes to avoid Wilblue!! Also, they get you by making you sign an 18 month contract!!
