I have had the basic Wildblue service since August 4, 2009 and am totally satisfied with it.  It performs exactly as advertised and is far better than the dialup service that I had before.  I have not seen any more weather related problems with this service that with any other communications service....

Oooh, I hate Wildblue. I have had them for just over a year. The basic service at $50 a month, (credit or debit only) is OK, not super fast and things like lightning and snow tend to put it on the fritz. But what I really hate it the customer service. Long wait times for the phone lines and if you have...

BE AFRAID BE VERY AFRAID RUN DO NOT USE WILD BLUE

right now I would cancel if i could.... they changed over to a google based site and it stinks. I lost my secondary email. It shoould be there but it isn't. I followed their direction for setting up outlook express when i first signed up and it worked great for my primary and secondary email. but now all i get is error message.
Spent 40 minutes on hold in first call to email tech support and lost call when i tried to take call on different phone as battery died. Tried calling again and got a busy signal for 30 minutes. the last call i was on hold...

We have had Wild Blue for about 6 months ONLY because they (and Hughs Net) were our ONLY options.  Fortunately, the home in which we have this junk service is only a week end 'get away' place so we don't have to live with it on a daily basis.....THANK GOODNESS!!! Our computers operate slower than dial up!  I called Customer Service (what a joke!) to ask them why we are running so slowly.  They had me go to testmy.net and speakeasy.net.  The first test on testmy gave one star and said the download time was WAY bad as well as the upload time.  It rated the service ONE star.  Not liking... review »

Wildblue sucks, I ordered it so i could get rid of my landline, the lady said "ya get majicjack (internet phone), so i canceled my dialup, phone, and thought cool,... Well trying to hook up the majicjack in 1 day used up all of my bandwith (something i've never heard of ), so i call up ,after the 4th call in 3 days someone explains to me about "bandwidth limits'" so now the kids cant get on and download their music and what ever they do,..so they told me to upgrade or dont get onduring peak hrs. so i tryed to cancel ofter 10 days, i need the internet to work,so they told me there is no 30 day policy,...

I have had Wild Blue Internet Service for about 6 to 7 months and have had problems with it from day one. It goes out more than I care to count and stays off for up to a couple of hours. Tech support is awful. They do not know how to fix the problems with their equipment. The Equipment is no good. Price per month is very pricey. Speeds are not as the promised or what you have a contract for. They make you sign a very long contract. But of course you can see why they do with the poor service they offer. Not a good service unless you want to get ripped off and still not have internet service.

I have been a subscriber to Wild Blue's satellite internet service since 2006. This is not because of their outstanding service but because I had no other choice. From the very beginning I have had nothing but problems with them.

First of all they installed equipment that was defective and they refused to replace. The modem had to be unplugged to reset at least once a day and many times 5 or 6 resets a day were required. I suffered with this for three years. Wild Blue didn't care.

Secondly, they do not record your upload and download bandwidth honestly. I have seen my bandwidth climb beyond my...

I have been a WildBlue customer for one year now; and not a day goes by i don't get frustrated with them and regret my decision to sign their contract. i would love to cancel service, but i was talked into a two year contract with them (by the only friendly operator i have yet to talk to through them); and it costs just as much to cancel the service as it does to keep it. It takes two to three WEEKS to even have minor information changed. I wanted to change our phone number; but after two weeks of almost daily phone calls with incompetent operators and a list of about nine confirmation numbers...

Wild Blue totally sux here. It works okay normally but from 11:00 am Central Time to ~6:00 PM it is really bad. Their tech support is totally useless except to tell you that weather is the problem or to reset their junk. I have worn out 3 switch boxes that were set up just for their trash because of having to reset it so much. If you enjoy waiting on hold for 3 hours at a time, by all means, sign up for this crap. You'll waste a lot of time there. All tech support can tell me after all this is that they want to send a service tech here at a cost of $95.00 minimum per trip. If not for tearing up... review »

i have the wildblue 1.5m/256k package, which i upgraded from the 1m/200k.

i've tested their claimed up / down speeds with speedtest.net on various days at at many times.  examples are Sunday mornig at 3:15 a.m., which i thought would be the slowest internet time possible in the US, and when i should be able to get their best speeds

i've NEVER ( and i mean NEVER ) gotten half of their claimed speed down speed and i'm lucky it i get 30% of their up speed.  on Sat. 01/17/09 @ 14:13, my down was 598k and my up was 57k.

their customer service is almost useless.  if your modem is blinking, their customer...

Well let me start by saying Wildblue is offering a $99.00 start up special. DO NOT fall for this line. What a rip off. I paid my local Wildblue company for installation. I get my credit card bill and Wildblue charges me another $199.00 for hook up.  So now I am out almost $300.00. I get hold of the man who had my system installed, he made a few calls and got back to me and said Wildblue would credit my credit card but it would take up to 3 weeks. Excuse me, I work with c/c machines. All you have to do is press enter then #1 and  that is it, you enter c/c #, dollar amount for refund and you are... review »

I got Wild Blue as there are very limited options for high speed internet in my rural area. I looked at both Wild Blue and Hughes Net and being that I really didn't want to buy the equipment, I went with WB. Boy what a mistake! I was told that it would cost $125 to connect my service and then they charged me $199. I got sick so I had some medical bills and had to disconnect my service for a short period of time and when I called to have it reconnected I was told that it would cost $376. Okay, fine and I asked if that was all and if there would be any other fees. I was told no and I paid the money....

wildblue lies about the price you will pay up front.they can do this because you can only get there service by giving them a credit card number(very bad idea).i was charged almost 400 dollars on my card the day they came to install it and $175.00 more to install (cash.)and thats not even the bad part.you can not even download music or movies from the internet with there service because that uses to much bandwith at even there most expensive plan.so they got me for a little bit of money but i will spend the rest of my life telling people how bad they are. thanks for letting me speak mike kelly.

In my ill guided attempts to fire the telephone companies, I thought satelite internet would be a good alternative, and I was dead wrong.  If you have any other alternative, I seriously suggest you stay far away of the likes of Wild Blue Internet Services.  Not only do they have the slowest "high speed internet", but overcharging is rampent while technicial help is useless.  They never downloaded faster than 490kpbs, nor uploaded faster then 200kpbs even after their satelite guys charged to return and repoint the dish, and they found a loose connection after only a month of initial installation....
