Most HelpfulI have had the basic Wildblue service since August 4, 2009 and am totally satisfied with it. It performs exactly as advertised and is far better than the dialup service that I had before. I have not seen any more weather related problems with this service that with any other communications service....

Most HelpfulOooh, I hate Wildblue. I have had them for just over a year. The basic service at $50 a month, (credit or debit only) is OK, not super fast and things like lightning and snow tend to put it on the fritz. But what I really hate it the customer service. Long wait times for the phone lines and if you have...
review »Wildblue sucks, I ordered it so i could get rid of my landline, the lady said "ya get majicjack (internet phone), so i canceled my dialup, phone, and thought cool,... Well trying to hook up the majicjack in 1 day used up all of my bandwith (something i've never heard of ), so i call up ,after the 4th call in 3 days someone explains to me about "bandwidth limits'" so now the kids cant get on and download their music and what ever they do,..so they told me to upgrade or dont get onduring peak hrs. so i tryed to cancel ofter 10 days, i need the internet to work,so they told me there is no 30 day policy,...
review »I have been a subscriber to Wild Blue's satellite internet service since 2006. This is not because of their outstanding service but because I had no other choice. From the very beginning I have had nothing but problems with them.
First of all they installed equipment that was defective and they refused to replace. The modem had to be unplugged to reset at least once a day and many times 5 or 6 resets a day were required. I suffered with this for three years. Wild Blue didn't care.
Secondly, they do not record your upload and download bandwidth honestly. I have seen my bandwidth climb beyond my...
I got Wild Blue as there are very limited options for high speed internet in my rural area. I looked at both Wild Blue and Hughes Net and being that I really didn't want to buy the equipment, I went with WB. Boy what a mistake! I was told that it would cost $125 to connect my service and then they charged me $199. I got sick so I had some medical bills and had to disconnect my service for a short period of time and when I called to have it reconnected I was told that it would cost $376. Okay, fine and I asked if that was all and if there would be any other fees. I was told no and I paid the money....
review »wildblue lies about the price you will pay up front.they can do this because you can only get there service by giving them a credit card number(very bad idea).i was charged almost 400 dollars on my card the day they came to install it and $175.00 more to install (cash.)and thats not even the bad part.you can not even download music or movies from the internet with there service because that uses to much bandwith at even there most expensive plan.so they got me for a little bit of money but i will spend the rest of my life telling people how bad they are. thanks for letting me speak mike kelly.
In my ill guided attempts to fire the telephone companies, I thought satelite internet would be a good alternative, and I was dead wrong. If you have any other alternative, I seriously suggest you stay far away of the likes of Wild Blue Internet Services. Not only do they have the slowest "high speed internet", but overcharging is rampent while technicial help is useless. They never downloaded faster than 490kpbs, nor uploaded faster then 200kpbs even after their satelite guys charged to return and repoint the dish, and they found a loose connection after only a month of initial installation....
