Most HelpfulI encountered this bird feeder through my girlfriend. She has had one since before we started dating. The great thing about this bird feeder is that it really does keep the squirrels out of the food. When she told me it was squirrel proof, I didn't believe her, but now that I've seen it in action...

Most HelpfulI bought 2 Wild Bill's bird feeders and never again!! They are extremely poor engineering and quality. Expensive to boot. They constantly fail giving the squirrels a chance to destroy them and they do very quickly. Ate 3 tops off the unit then proceeded to eat the perches and the feeding ports. Put it back together with duct tape after running out of spare parts from the other one I bought. Replaced batteries like crazy. The circuit boards on the unit will get wet and short out defeating the whole purpose of squirrel proof!. Any rain will keep them from working. I contacted their customer service...

read full review »I Googled Wild Bills to replace the rubber grommet on top of the 8-port electric feeder and saw some negative reviews. Au contraire!!! Yes, I have to replace the 9-volt battery every 4 months (a simple procedure). Yes, when I've forgotten and let it die, the squirrels and raccoons have nibbled away some of the plastic feeder ports but the fault was mine, not the feeder's. In 40 years of feeding the birds, this is truly the best, most efficient feeder I've ever owned.

Though this one would do the trick, not. First bad rain storm we have, the electric stopped working in it and haven't worked since.. No more Mr. Bill.
