I'm always looking for products that will encourage me to exercise. We tried the Wii Fit...I wrote a review on that a while back. Wii fit is fun, but very geared toward kids and fun...and in order to do 10 exercises you have to select each one and it takes forever. (Unless they have changed that).
Anyway, about "My Fitness Coach"
You start out entering your weight and all your measurements and do a fitness test. It takes maybe 10 minutes, but after that you sign on and she suggests a workout. You can choose any 15 minute increment up to an hour.
She warms you up, targets the area you select and...
read full review »I have been dieting and working out for about 6 weeks now and was getting bored with the Wii Fit. Don't get me wrong, I love my Wii Fit, but as we all know, you need to change it up or it becomes routine and it is harder and harder to get motivated. I read an article on Wii's My Fitness Coach and decided to give it a try. Am I glad I did! The first session is a bit time consuming. Plan on spending about 30 minutes setting up your profile. It is worth it! You are required to enter vital statistics (height, weight, measurements, etc.) and do a few fitness tests (resting heart rate,...
read full review »I havnt tried Wiifit, but this game really isnt too bad. My wife and myself have both used it and it can fun. The game wants to set you up to work out almost everyday and if you miss a day the 'trainer' insuates your lazy. Overall it is a good game though. I have not played the Wii Fit game yet, but have heard you get a larger variety of choices for exercise, many using the controller and fit board. This on is more based do-it-yourself style and allows you the option to say you have equipment to use like weights and such.
My Fitness Coach by Ubisoft (mycoachgames.com) is the best thing invented since the Wii came along.
Last Christmas my husband got me the Wii Fit and about May I started getting tired of the constant switching I had to do to get a strength or yoga workout in - so I began researching on the internet.
MY FITNESS COACH???!!!??? Why didn't I see this before - I looked at the reviews of it and the Jillian Michaels game and just could not pass this up. I mentioned it to my mother and she said, "DON"T BUY IT! I was looking for a birthday gift for you~!"
So totally sweet.
Anyway I opened it up...
read full review »I purchased the Wii Fitness Coach after using Wii Fit for a few months and already bored with it. Well, I am here to tell you that I have gone through 36 workouts so far with the Wii Fitness Coach and I still look forward to the challenges it presents each time. The level of cardio combined with the strength training is just what I have been looking for. Even if you miss a day the instructor, Maya, will sound off on you and make you feel guilty for missing one of the workout days! The locations for the workouts and the music choices for the owrkouts aren't too bad. I wish that the locations would...
read full review »This is a great workout "game". You can focus on a different area everyday. There is also yoga and flexibitly. It is like an excerise DVD but it is different everytime you use it. Which is a nice change if you get bored with the same routine over and over. The price was great too! Well worth it!
I was skepitcal at first, but really found myself enjoying the workout. It is kind of diffucult picking up the wi mote here and there to answer questions, but the work out in itself really has you working. If you enjoy working out in the privacy of your own home you will enjoy this.
The wii game is helpful for people who need help with weight loss and keep company with the partner from the wii game.
