In classic Mailer style, he summarizes the reasons we were given for the Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, building the temple to the military machine.  And then turns and tears it all down.  Slightly repetitive at times for such a slim volume, but overall a great way to encapsulate what a number of us are feeling about the current strategy in the Middle East.
