Another great Tetra product.  For aquariums up to 40 gallons this filter is great.  I have had mine for 5 years now.  I have a 30 gallon aquarium and I run two Whisper Power filters.  They hang on the back of the aquarium and only require a filter cartridge to work.  My water is crystal clear.  They don't make noise and run like a charm.  After 5 years of use I have only had to replace one part, the impeller in only one filter.  That's the good thing about these filters, you can buy all the replacement parts at your local pet store.  I know the Petsmart and Petco carry them.  They are... read full review »

I have two 55 gal.,four 20 gal. and a 40 gal corner tank.I have had Whisper power filters on all of them but the two 55's.I made a filtration system myself that cleans both tanks(they are right next to each other).Before that I had Whispers on them also.The Whisper power filters are easy to maintain and with a little care can last a long time.One of the 20's has one that is over 7 yrs. old not bad for a filter that I paid less than 20 bucks for.

A great product for fresh and salt water tanks

When it comes to water quality and service this filter has surpass many other in it class with it's longivety, ease of maintenance, lack of moving parts and in my case "adaptability". I have a 65 gallon Octagon  which is 36" deep , the intake tube was'nt long enough to reach the botttom for proper circurlation. A trip to the nearest hardware store  and every thing honky dorry...

I used to have the biowheel type of filter system, and found that it resulted in the aquarium going cloudy without warning.  You never felt that you truly had a fresh filter.  And I always had to run a backup filtration system, because the bio wheel would get clogged with solid waste.  I really like the Whisper products because they process a high volume of water per hour, and water quality remains crystal clear between changes of the bio bag (the drop in packets with activated charcoal)  The one thing that is a bit of a pain is the sponge that goes into the slots along with the bio bags, because... read full review »

I love these filters, they are quiet easy to clean, and Most of all one of the most afforable ones on the market.

You can find the replacement filters in most stores, so when it's time to change the filter you don't have to make a special trip tring to locate filters.

I own a 10 gal tank and a 30 gal tank which belong to my kids,so with a child helping take care of the tanks and filters with little assitance is great :)The tanks are in my childrens rooms and are very quiet.

whisper power filters are the absolutely best filter i have had in any aquarium. there is no hassle whatsoever. the water stays clean and you can definitely rely on this filter to do it's job in your own fish tank. the filters are affordable and you can find them pretty much anywhere that sells pet supplies. the cartridge packets usually come with 2 replacement cartridges. the name fits it as well, because these filters are very quiet. i sleep in the same room and it has never once crossed my mind that the filter was being too loud. i recommend them to everyone looking for a new filter.

We ahevb always used the whisper brand. I have a 49 gallon tank and these do an excelent job of keeping the water clear and the fish happy. I have some really big fish and these work great. Even if you forget to change them once per month they continue to work for us.

does this fish filter really work? My daughter has gone thru so many filters of every kind.$$$$$ just adds up,with the merkey water,green mossy slime.Can't sea the fish from the grime.Thanks for the advise.I'm going o tell her about it thumbs_up

Hello

 I've been raising fish in general for about 10 year now the whisper filters are the only ones i use they do a good job of getting all the old food an other stuff out of the water .
