When it comes to water quality and service this filter has surpass many other in it class with it's longivety, ease of maintenance, lack of moving parts and in my case "adaptability". I have a 65 gallon Octagon which is 36" deep , the intake tube was'nt long enough to reach the botttom for proper circurlation. A trip to the nearest hardware store and every thing honky dorry...

I have the same problem. I have a turtle so the water doesn't fill the tank. I have trouble finding a filter long enough to hang on the tank's side but also reach the water. I would love to know how you managed to rig the filter to work.
