Most HelpfulI bought this Whirlpool WTW6700TW, which is the updated model of the 6600 because it now has the 4.6 cft capacity, after having just bought a Whirlpool Duet that broke after just 3 weeks. I had read so many reviews, both negative and positive and wanted to come back and give my two cents worth myself...

Most HelpfulThe cabrio gets the clothes cleaner than any of the other washers I've had. We farm, and with hard water (use water softner also) its been difficult keeping clothes looking like they are clean.
However, in forty plus years of doing laundry, I have never had a washing machine go out of balance,...
read full review »I purchase my Cabrio Whirlpool Washer 6600 in January of 2007 and I started having problems in March of 2008 after the warranty had expired. First it would get unbanlance at every wash so I call a repair man. I spent $60 dollars for the call and he said I had to replace a part which would be $220 and the part had to be ordered. While I was waiting for the part the machine stopped having this problem.
Now July and August of 2008 I am having another problem. It is getting stuck in the wash cycle. So I called whirlpool and the rep. said to turn off the power braker for 5 to 10 minutes and...
read full review »Bought the Whirlpool Cabrio top load washer on 2/8/07. Have always bought Whirlpool washers, but this is THE WORST washer I've ever owned. My clothes have never been this dingy and just plain not clean. This machine makes king-size sheets into a tight rope and then ties them in knots. I cannot emphasize enough how much I hate this machine and wish I had my old 13-year-old Whirlpool back again. Whirlpool needs to recall these machines NOW.
We just purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine from ABC Warehouse. The service at ABC was fantastic! Thank you Joseph! The machine is incredible! Even on the spin cycle, you can barely hear it. Has double rinse cycle, automatic load size detector, special settings for stained laundry or "hard to clean", and is rated that if you do 8 loads of laundry PER week, it would cost you $40 a year to use this machine! I call that efficient!
Specifics:

The Cabrio is a great washer. You are able to do large loads with no problems, and the clothes come out clean. You use less soap is this machine.
Whirlpool Washer - Cabrio Top It seems to clean the clothes well, but can't say that it gets whites any whiter then my old washer. It does use smaller amounts of water (barely covers the clothes so hopefully enough to clean the clothes) and hard to tell with the HE detergents (they don't suds up much) if it is doing a great job but clothes come out clean. It is quiet while running, no rocking. You can unlock the lid if you need to add a forgotten item after you started the cycle. It does fit a king size bedspread. It does spin the water out well, towels take a lot less time to dry in the dryer....
read full review »We have probably done 100 loads in this washer since buying it 8 months ago. It does a fine job getting laundry of all types clean. Like any washer, it will occassionally unbalance with large bulky loads. Also, high speed spin will wrinkle clothes badly. I always use medium speed and it works fine for all types.
