We purchased this washer nearly 5 years ago. I thought we were doing ourselves right by purchasing new and a quality brand name.

We have had nothing but problems with this machine! We had two repairs necessary within 2 years. The first was covered by the warranty, the second cost over $100.

The Whirlpool frontloading washer will make your friends jealous! It is much quieter than any machine especially during the spin cycle so it won't wake the kids. This washer uses the h-e detergent causing you to use less detergent and save more money. It is gentle when washing your clothes. This feature is wonderful to help save money from having to purchase clothes more often. Clothes comes out of the washer smelling better than the normal washing machine. My husband does the laundry since we bought this washer!

This Whirlpool washer is magic! As soon as it was installed, my hubby assumed all responsibility for the laundry! I have never been so impressed with an appliance and I'm speaking from forty plus years of housekeeping. The absence of noise has me peeking into the laundry room to make sure it is running. Now, if I could just teach my husband to fold the clothes and put them away, my life would be perfect. If you, too, appreciate reliability and are budget-conscious, watch for a sale on this Whirlpool and start enjoying life again!

Cant live without it

I got this washer and was a little optimistic about whether or not it could handle what they say it does and boy are they right. I love this thing i don't have nearly as many loads to switch over. My water and electric have dropped also. This particular model is great too because you don't have to have the pedestals to put them on. unlike other models that are low to the ground these are at a good height to make it easy to just bend a little. plus the flat tops serve as a nice shelf if you don't have the room for shelving near your washer.

This whirlpool machine works very well in the home for people who have more than on person in the home and have multiple loads of laundry and use it frequently. Its durable and easy with the front loader. I really love this product! This product is comparable to all other leading brands and without this product I am not sure how i would wash all of my familys clothing in a suffciant amount of time! I really love how fresh my clothes come out and how clean they truely are!

Whirlpool duet front loadwasher

A most common failure mode (just out of warranty of course) is a tear on the bottom of the front panel seal which will cause water leaks down the front of the machine,The parts to repair are around $100 and service labor estimates around $200.If you still just have to have it get an extended warranty for as many years as possible!

We bought this machine because consumer reports said whirlpool has the least number of break downs for front loading washers

The amount of space is just about right for a 2-3 person household. It gets items really really clean. It's fast, quiet, water efficient etc =P I am not sure about durability as we have just gotten two months ago. Will update if anything goes wrong.

If you are buying the set for an apartment, be sure to measure the amount of space instead of just listening to the salesman who will say this is a good unit for apartments because it is smaller than the Whirlpool duet... review »

This washer is SOOO quiet!

This washing machine is so nice. Not only is it saving me on my water and electric bill, but its super quiet. So I can wash laundry and my kids will not wake up from their nap. Which is important to me because my laundry room is right next door to my 3 yr old twins room. You dont even hear it unless you are in the room with it, and even then its water swishing around. Super easy to use, and all over A++++++.

i got this whirlpool washer a few months ago. its a front loading. i like that part very much . but what i don't like about it , is the inside rubber ring tends to collect stuff and it stays wet there also. also when i first got it it kept coding all the time . finally got that part repaired. washes clothes nice

Good..easy to use, Excellent cleaning of very soiled clothing and I have a lot of that. Grandchildren that manage to get absolutely flithy and ground in dirty every day. Large sized loads get clean, also. I would like the ability to soak things but can work around that. All in all, I am very satisified and happy with this washer.

This washing machine is amazing! not only is it nearly silent, it has large capacity and uses near to no laundry detergent. I use approximately 2 tablespoons of liquid detergrnt per load and the clothes come out smelling fresh and very clean. It's very quite as long as you don't overload it then the super fast spin cycle can cause some noise. But it's quiet, uses very little detergent, MUCH less water than a top loader and spins super fast.

Whirlpool Washer - WFW8400T is a wonderful product to own. I have three girls and this washer saves me so much time. It washes fast meaning tnot havingo work before hand to get out the stains-cleans our clothes well.
