This is just your basic fridge with no bells or whistles. It does what it needs to do, keeps things cold and frozen, but thats about it. If you are looking for something with an ice maker and water dispenser, this fridge is not for you. This is what came with our house when we moved in. Like I said, it does what it needs to do, but it's nothing fancy and thats okay. But we decided to get a different fridge that had an icemaker and water dispenser, so we moved this one to our basement and now use it as a secondary refrigerator, and its great for that! Only complaint is that I think one of the drainage pipes got clogged or something because water drips like crazy in the main fridge. It drives me crazy! I've heard its an easy fix but haven't done i yet, but its a pain to deal with when everything in the fridge gets wet. Noise Level Not too loud but definitely does make some noise. Interior Organization Lots of space and shelving. Temperature Control Depends on how full your fridge is. If its almost empty, things towards the back of the fridge tend to freeze, but if the fridge is full it tends to be fine. Ease of Cleaning About what you'd expect with any fridge. Durability This beast will last for a long time. Design Just your basic refrigerator/freezer. Nothing fancy or too pretty but does what it needs to do.

Whirlpool products seem to be hit or miss. This Whirlpool top-freezer stainless steel fridge has been a big hit! Its very roomy with adjustable shelves, many of which will slide out for easy cleaning. The veggie drawers are very sturdy, and the side shelf in the door is wide enough to even hold a gallon of milk (and about 30 other condiments). It can be a little tough to polish the outside- which is something that you should think about when buying stainless steel anything. The top freezer is also pretty large, but the addition of an option shelf (at least for the ice cubes) would have been a nice addition. This model (of the Imperial Series), doesn't have an in-door water or ice dispenser by choice. The fridge is very quiet- which is about the best feature it has going for it. I've had some fridges you could hear down the hallway, so this has been a nice change. I've had it for about 3 years know, and have never had any issues.

I'm not sure what the capacity is- as any of you who read my reviews know that I am technologically challenged!  I just know it is large enough fo my needs, and would be large enough for a family.  I like stainless steel, it stays looking nice for quite a while after I clean it.  The inside of the refridgerator is pretty easy to keep clean also. I like the set-up inside, and the humidity controlled drawers for fruits and vegetables. Every shelf has something that says space-smart cooling, and I guess it's energy efficient.  I know that my electric bill did decrease after I bought this one and got rid of the old one!  It's also very quiet. I can't comment on the ice-maker, as I don't have any source of water nearby to hook it up to. All-in-all, no complaints!

I would hope for a cheep fridge that Whirlpool makes, the motor would not make so much noise.the icemaker is too slow.I cannot seem to get the temp just right to keep my vegtables,coldthey are always getting ice.While on one of our moves I accidently dropped the cheese drawer, and , my husband had to make numerous phone calls just to get the right part sent.

Whirlpool makes many appliances and I have had the opportunity to use and evaluate many Whirlpool products from ranges to washers and dryers. Whirlpool product quality seems to be mixed in most areas, and refrigerators are no exception. The model I have been using for a few months is **Whirlpool Model ET8AHKXR Refrigerator/Freezer**, a lower priced appliance. **Appliance Commentary:** Whirlpool Model ET8AHKXR is a good, basic refrigerator freezer that keeps a moderate amount of food and beverages cold and ready to use. This refrigerator/freezer is offered in a size that makes it an ideal choice for a single person or a small family of two or three. This refrigerator freezer is simple, but it offers some good features for the price. First, the glass racks are easily removed and easy to clean. And moving them around is simple, too, because all you do is lift out the rack and place it on top of the supports on one of the other levels. There is no need to "hook" the rack in place- it just sits on top of the supports making it easy to move and unlikely to fall. I also like the fact that there are three drawers to keep certain food fresh and crisp. The wide rack on the door is nice also because it allows for the storage of wide containers, like gallons of milk. In the freezer, this Whirlpool appliance doesn't offer as many useful features but it is still good enough to earn a passing grade. There are two storage rack levels in the main part of the freezer and two storage racks on the door. This is pretty standard for a freezer and I cannot think of anything good or bad to say about it. The ice maker is efficient, but again, it doesn't offer anything unique. With the limited size, Whirlpool ET8AHKXR isn't intended for large families. This fact is most apparent in the freezer. It is very easy to overload the scant 4.1 cubic feet of space and I would surmise that, following a comprehensive visit to the grocery, many consumers are forced to turn off the ice maker and remove the ice receptacle in order to make room for frozen food. The refrigerator is more adequate for storage, but the size is still limited and isn't practical for a family of five or more individuals. Temperature control is very limited, too, and there is only a single knob that operates both freezer and refrigerator simultaneously. This is not good for those who have specific temperatures they like to maintain, but as long as you keep the setting in the upper- middle (around four) of the five- numbered positions, you should get food that is sufficiently refrigerated and sufficiently frozen. **Bottom Line:** Overall, Whirlpool Model ET8AHKXR is a good refrigerator/freezer for the price. You aren't going to get anything fancy for a price like this, so don't expect great things if you decide to purchase this appliance. However, you will get a good refrigerator freezer overall, with enough good qualities to make it worth considering for a small family or single person.

I bought this refrigerator about sixweeks ago and it doesn't seem to work right all the time.  Sometimes it is so cold it freezes lettuce in the crisper and other times much of the stuff in the freezer half thaws out.  It makes a lot of funny noises.  About half the time there is a funny crackling sound.  I purchased it from a national chain and when I called them they assured me the sounds were normal and would eventually go away.  A call to the company just got us the same answer that eventually the sounds would go away and they claimed that we must must not be shutting the door all the way for the freezer problems. We are in the process of trying to return it.  I thought we would get a good value for a Whirlpool because I had done a lot of research and that seemed like a good brand.  There was also good reviews for the GE brand but the refrigerator we replaced was a GE that didn't last very long.  Based on my experiences I could not really recommend either of those brands.

I don't have any complaints about my Whirlpool Refrigerator with top freezer. The refrigerator portion has a lot of space. It has two clear crispers at the bottom to put fruit and vegetables. Also, there is another drawer towards the top of the refrigerator to place other small items. I use mine for things like cheese, lunch meat and pepperonis. The door has an abundant of space for condiments and other bottles. Unlike other refrigerators, you don't have to play with the temperature settings because the temperature settings work great. As far as the freezer, it has a decent amount of space in it for frozen food and an ice maker. The ice maker works exceptionally well. This Whirlpool Refrigerator with top freezer is a good purchase.

Whirlpool is a product that is worth the money.  It does the job well no matter which appliance it is.  They stand behind their products.  They are a very good company and one that I would trust buying.  I would be glad to recommend Whirlpool to any of my friends.  Thank you for giving me the chance to write this review.  I am a 73 year old retiree that needs appliances that work and am always glad to recommend any product that works well to my many friends, my family and my neighbors.

We needed to get a few appliances all at once. Our old refrigerator had been a wedding gift from some of my co-workers. It was oky, but I know it was the cheapest one they could find. So about 5 years later it died in a bad way. First the fridge part died so we tried keeping stuff in the freezer. Then that died too. After living out of a cooler for a few days we finally got our new Whirlpool fridge. It iss great. It is not the biggest one you can get, but there are only two of us and it has more than enough room for all we need plus more. I love that you can move the glass shelves to differt level. And easy take out for cleaning. I also love that the shelves on the sides of the doors come off easily for cleaning too. In fact that id one of the reasons we bout this fridge. I had to try to clean the shelves on the doors when you can't just take them off and wash them in the sink. And as I said that is no problem with out new Whirlpool refrigerator. Also I love the icemaker,I have never had on before. No more empty ice trays. Yea.

This is a good quality refrigerator. i have had no problems with it. Keeps food fresh for a good period of time. I like the way it looks. It makes my kitchen look elegant and modern. It has plenty of room to store the things I typically keep in my a refrigerator.
