Our rental house used to include this Whirlpool refrigerator. It served us well for several years, although it had a couple of drawbacks. Durability Overall, this fridge seems to have good durability. It was several years old when we moved in, and we used it for about four years without major problems. But the ice maker never worked while we used it, and I do not know how long before we moved it actually died. I don't mind not having a nice maker, as it seems that is usually the first thing to go. But the irritating thing is that part of the mechanism still tried to work. If you stored something wrapped in plastic in the part of the freezer near the ice maker, it would catch and tear the plastic. If you didn't catch this quickly, your food would be sitting uncovered in your freezer. Design The shelves are designed poorly. The freezer only has the bottom shelf, and it is impossible to stack everything in there without it falling out when you open the door. The fridge could use one more shelf, and it had space for it, but it wasn't included.

When we first got this fridge, it seemed so big compared to our old one. But now that we have had it four a few months, it does not seem so huge. We have to go through and take out food at least once a week because the fridge gets full. So I have to be careful not to indulge my instinct to stock up for our needs ahead of time, only about one week of groceries for two people will fit in here. The freezer is a good size, and not too much snow forms, though some does. In the actual fridge, the butter area is not quite big enough. A pound of butter (in a square form) will jam the clear plastic door when I try to shut it. I like all the shelves on the door. The produce drawers remove easily. And I love having a cheese drawer in my fridge, so that is a huge plus for me regarding this model. I find this fridge is easy to clean. This fridge has magnetized door and sides, which is one reason I do not care for these fancy stainless steel fridges. This fridge is definitely quieter than the old model, but it still makes a sound like a humming sometimes.

I am not sure why so many other people gave this bad reviews. I think that while this is not the most beautiful of refrigerators, there is certainly nothing wrong with it. I have not had any leaks, the temperature is just right in the freezer and the refrigerator, and its very quiet. I live in a small apartment in New York City, so if this was loud, I would recognize it and hear it everywhere I sat in the apartment. Noise Level I have not heard any noises coming from this refrigerator. I live in a very small studio and can hear everything. Interior Organization Keep in mind this is not a fancy refrigerator. But, for what it is, the storage is pretty decent. There are plenty of shelves on the inside of the door and they have varying heights. I have been able to store everything there including a bottle of open wine that I was nervous to lie down on its side. The inside is pretty standard with 3 shelves, two main drawers on the bottom, and one smaller drawer for cheese and other small things in the middle. Ease of Cleaning The only thing that makes this a little nerve racking to keep clean is that the top two shelves are not solid. I would prefer solid to prevent leaks but it is not enough to give it less than a 9 really. Design Like I said earlier, not the most beautiful, but the beautiful ones always cost more

We bought this refrigerator on the advice from a salesperson a year ago. It is in our vacation home, we have to be careful hoe much food is in both the freezer and refrigerator compartments. The freezer ices up easily and then the refrigeration stops. You have to empty the whole unit and let it completely defrost before the air circulates into the refrigerator unit. Have lost plenty of milk, fresh veggies, etc. because the unit does not stay cold! Would not recommend! Noise Level Quiet. Interior Organization Because you must leave space around all edges for circulation the storage is minimized. Temperature Control The only part that is easily temperature controlled is the freezer. The refrigerator portion is a hit and miss event! Ease of Cleaning I am quite good at cleaning this since I have to defrost it so often. Durability It would appear to be durable if it worked properly, since it does not we will be getting something different ! Design Obviously the design does not work well if we can not keep the refrigeration in working order!

I have had the Whirlpool Top-Freezer Refrigerator for the last five years and it still works great. I purchased this refrigerator when my other whirlpool refrigerator stopped working. I had that one for over eight years. These refrigerators are dependable and will last a really long time if you take care of them. I didn't like that it wasn't as big as the one I had before but this one was on sale and I got a great deal on purchasing it. I have a really tiny kitchen so this top freezer refrigerator fit perfect in my kitchen and doesn't take up to much unnecessary space. Noise Level Even after 5 years of having this refrigerator I still can only hear it in the kitchen and even then it's not so loud. It sounds smooth and the noise doesn't go constantly. It comes off and on. Interior Organization I wish this refrigerator had a little more space at the bottom of it. The freezer part as well. Just some extra cubbie wholes for other things. Temperature Control This refrigerator stays cold. The freezer freezes only after a half hour, it's already freezing what I've put in it. Ease of Cleaning Refrigerators area job to clean. The fact that this one is white makes it even more of a job to get it clean.

It's energy saving and great ! I wish I bought a black colored one instead, though. Noise Level Absolutely no noise at all (well, that I know of). If there was noise, it probably wouldn't be that bad because I bought it at such an affordable price, therefore, it wouldn't bother me what-so-ever. Interior Organization I would like more storage and movable shelves, but I have a small family so it's the perfect size. Temperature Control I haven't changed the temperature at all since it has been installed and all my food has been pretty good. Although, even if I needed to change the temperature the controls seem to be easy to understand. Ease of Cleaning I don't really spill anything of make stains so I haven't cleaned it much because there was not much to clean at all. WHICH IS GREAT!! Durability It is very durable. Hopefully it still works five years from now. Design The design is okay, but I prefer a more modern design and black. I only bought white in this design because the price was in my price range: not too cheap nor expensive.

Its not a fancy refrigerator but it does the job. I found it to not be too expensive when we purchased it which was a very important point at the time. It certainly fit our lifestyle and our pocketbook. For us these were the two things we were looking for. Noise Level At first it was fairly quiet, but as it aged it became louder and louder. Making noises and groans when the freezer fan kicked on and such. so if you don't own your refrigerator for too long of a period the noise isn't too bad. We continued to use ours in the garage after we were through with the house use. It was louder but it didn't matter since it was out in the garage. The noise is why we choose to move on to another refrigerator. Since it was getting older and louder we thought maybe there was something wrong with it But it is still running today at my daughter's house in the basement. Interior Organization This I really liked. I'm not the best organizer in the refrigerator so this was something of a high level of importance. It has the right amount of add on for the shelves and drawers. So this was a good level of organization with out going to far overboard. Temperature Control This was fantastic as far as I was concerned. I liked that it didn't do any dipping in temp. Which a lot of refrigerators do. Even as it aged and got louder the temperature was constant. This became more and more important as the refrigerator aged I was sure it would not continue to work well but gladly I was proven wrong. Ease of Cleaning For the most part it came apart easily and went back together easy enough too. There were a couple of shelves that the glass part of the shelves were a little more difficult to put back in correctly but my husband was always able to do it without too much trouble. The draws slide in and out very easy which I loved since I like to clean them pretty often. the pieces for the shelves on the door were made for disassembling and reassembling with ease which I was glad since it seems like these are always in need of cleaning from spills, so overall easy of cleaning was wonderful but a little improvement in the glass shelf replacement and remove would help. Durability I don't give tens often but the durability of this refrigerator and freezer deserves a ten. It continued to work when I thought for sure it was dying. It continues to work after three refrigerators as a second refrigerator with no replacement parts or anything. It is amazing with how long this has continued to work for my family. Design I enjoyed the design I really like simple with all my appliances. It is simple in its design but its sleek to look at. It is my design of choice. I love having the freezer on top and refrigerator on the bottom. I truly have enjoyed the simplicity of this entire design

I have had my refridgerater for quite a while and it is always quiet, sturdy, and a good size fridge for my family. The setup of the interior makes it easy to organize and also easy for me to take apart to clean. I like this simple fridege and top freezer and it holds a lot of items at one time which works well for me and my family. Noise Level My fridge is so nice and quiet if it does make noise I have learned that every so often it is good to pull it out and dust it out. I also keep my fridge cleaned which helps it work better and quieter. Interior Organization I like the simple interior organization options on my fridge and adjustable shelves so I can adjust the shelves to my needs. Temperature Control My fridge is always cold and always holds it temperature where I set it internally. Ease of Cleaning This fridge has been easy for me to clean and the glass shelves come out even for a more thourough cleaning and the drawers also come out. The smooth surfaces make it easy for me to wipe it down. Durability this is a very sturdy fridge yet simple so its a good option for my family as we have three kids. Design The design is simple and easy to use sliding drawers keep it organized.

This refrigerator and freezer provides enough space for my needs. Great little refrigerator with no problems and a very low noise level. Nice vegetable bin for fresh veggies. Basic and affordable and serves the main purpose, I have had mine for years. Not enough room at times, there is not enough space to fit all the appetizers and dinners for a full family, but adequate for one or two people. The door bin provides a smart solution for large containers and frees up interior shelf space. The shelves are adjustable for any size water, juice, or alcohol container. Will hold a full turkey on the shelf, though that will take up the entire shelf. I am not aware of the quality of Whirlpool Warranty and Customer Service, as I have never had a problem. It's energy efficiency which should save a great deal of money, paying for itself over time. I would definately recommend this product for a single person or couple, or the extra refrigerator in the rumpus room or "man cave".

As soon as I bought this refrigerator it stop working within a couple months. The refrigerator stopped working properly within 5 months. The top of the refrigerator stayed cool enough for things like eggs. I couldn't even leave ice or ice cream at the top of the freezer. Nothing hardly ever stayed cool at the bottom. For the summer, I could not buy food that required to stay cool. Anything that I bought would rot or either melt. Such as meats, ice, fruit or vegetables. Actually this is the second time I have purchased a whirlpool refrigerator. The one before this one also stopped working properly. It stopped right after the warranty was up on it. I do not think that I will ever buy another whirlpool again. Noise Level I never heard it make any kind of noise. Interior Organization It's okay, but not the best. Other refrigerators seem to have a lot of storage space. Temperature Control It didn't keep anything cool at the bottom and hardly anything at the top. I had put it on the last dial, and still nothing worked. Durability It didn't last long. Also, the door started to hardly close.
