We went from a counter type microwave to this over the stove type and have been very happy. The directions that the company gives to install are pretty easy to understand, including a template. The microwave works great. It cooks 'baked' potatoes with no problems. I have had a few with the potato option and few ever had the potato cooked all the way through before the time frame. This microwave does! The keypad is pretty easy to understand and use. I haven't used all the functions- pretty much defrost, cook, potato. My kids have mastered it as well. It key pad cleans up easily, just a little Windex. And its quiet. One thing that I still have to get used to with an over the stove microwave is how warm the handle can get when you are using stove top. Once you get used to that, then all is good. This is one of our first stainless steel appliances and am happy with how easy it is to clean. We bought a specialty cleaner for it and all is good.

My Whirlpool stainless steel microwave fits in beautifully with my other stainless steel appliances. This microwave is easy to use with understandable controls. It is mounted over my range, and looks great with all my other stainless steel appliances. I have used it to prepare many dishes that always come out great. It is important to know the desired length of microwave time, and the results will normally be perfect. This particular model has set controls for popcorn, pizza and baked potatoes, and I have used it for these items regularly. The only problem I have had with this model is the overhead lamp bulb that needs to be replaced more than I would like, and the bulb is also hard to find at a retailer. It is a expensive bulb, and replacing it a couple of times a year is unappealing. Otherwise, this microwave has been very efficient. I recommend this particular model to compliment your other stainless steel appliances in your kitchen, and I am certain you will be satisfied with its performance.
