This refrigerator is great! It has glass shelves with spill containing edges. The shelves are adjustable and are really easy to move. It has three drawers, one for meats and cheeses that fits just under a shelf, and two with humidity adjustments for fruits and vegetables that are at the bottom. The door offers a lot of nice storage and the bins on the door are also clear and adjustable. There is a butter door at the top that works well to keep the butter handy. The freezer has wire racks and they too are adjustable, and has a plastic bin drawer at the bottom. The water passes through a filter that is expensive but easy to replace, and should be replaced about once a year for "normal" use. The ice maker is in the top of the unit rather than being in the door and allows for a LOT of ice to be available at any time. It also offers a rapid refill of the ice tray that works nice to quickly refill the ice bin after emptying it into a cooler. The ice bin slides out and is fairly easy to take out and put back in.

The Whirlpool Side by Side refrigerator is by far the best refirgerator I have ever owned. I have a family of 5, 3 being small children, and so I need to have lots of room. This refrigerator is very spacious and easily accomodates my little ones. The shelves are very sturdy and can hold just about anything. There is plenty of room betweem the shelves so even tall items can be put in there. The drawers in the refrigerator keep cold very cool and fresh. They are hard to remove and I actually cracked one trying to get it back in but it can still be used because its such thick plastic. The freezer is also very spacious. There is drawer at the bottom and acouple racks. It is not big enough to hold all our frozen items so we designate this for desserts and popsicles whili everything else goes in the deepfreeze. The water filter for this refrigerator is a bit pricey but it lasts for a few months. Overall this is a great refrigerator for a good price.

We purchased this refrigerator for the home we were moving into in June 2006.  We are a 5 person family and I wanted to find a refrigerator that would be adequate for our family size.  I have to say I love it!  You are able to adjust the temperatures for both the refrigerator and the freezer seperately by the actual degree and not just cold to colder.  The freezer has plenty of shelves and door space.  The ice maker works wonderfully.  The refrigerator has the glass shelves and is very easy to clean.  There are two shelves in the door that are sized to fit 2 gallons of milk/juice each!  The water in the door does come out a little warm to start and we typically have to pour out the first half glass.  Also the ice, even when set to cubed, does come out crushed on occasion.  My biggest complaint about this refrigerator is that after a few months when it runs it can sometimes be a little loud.  But, overall it is a great appliance!!
