Whirlpool Refrigerator- Top Freezer ET8AHKXR Review

I bought this refrigerator about sixweeks ago and it doesn't seem to work right all the time.  Sometimes it is so cold it freezes lettuce in the crisper and other times much of the stuff in the freezer half thaws out.  It makes a lot of funny noises.  About half the time there is a funny crackling sound.  I purchased it from a national chain and when I called them they assured me the sounds were normal and would eventually go away.  A call to the company just got us the same answer that eventually the sounds would go away and they claimed that we must must not be shutting the door all the way for the freezer problems.

We are in the process of trying to return it.  I thought we would get a good value for a Whirlpool because I had done a lot of research and that seemed like a good brand.  There was also good reviews for the GE brand but the refrigerator we replaced was a GE that didn't last very long.  Based on my experiences I could not really recommend either of those brands.
