Whirlpool Gold fridge looks great needs new interior design

Comments about Whirlpool Gold French Door Refrigerator GI5FSAXVQ GI5FSAXVB:

I needed a new stainless steel fridge to match the other appliances in my kitchen.  I thought I'd try a new French door styled fridge.  Unfortunately the design of the interior space wastes a lot of room in this fridge.  The ice maker mechanism takes up most of the top shelf area on the left hand side of the fridge and the left hand door.  The right hand door is mostly taken up by a can dispenser for soda/beer/etc.  I guess I really needed a lot more shelf space in the door to hold condiments.  I had a side-by-side refrigerator before and all my condiments fit in the door of the fridge as well as my milk.  Now however, I can fit less than half of the same condiments in the 2 doors.  Also the drawers are sized just slightly too big to allow you to open the left drawer when only the left door is open or vice versa.  To open any drawer, both doors have to be open and then the doors want to close on you while you're trying to open the drawer.  Overall the stated capacity of the fridge is exagerated as there is a lot of wasted space.  I had to have the repairman out the first week I ordered the fridge as the items in the bottom freezer were getting a thick layer of frost on them.  Turned out the bottom freezer drawer was slightly off it's track so I was getting an air leak.  The repairman just pulled on the other side to straighten it and said, "Sometimes that happens at the warehouse when they are being moved around, but be careful to always push it closed from the center as if it gets off track too many times it ruins the rails and then they have to be replaced."   So now I'm paranoid about that.  Otherwise it's been fine though.  It looks great and has worked great since I got it.
