I like Whirlpool and I heard they were good in the refrigerator market, so I decided to go out and buy one to use. I read that this fridge was good and efficient and the french door is really nice. The only complaint I would have about this fridge is that it would randomly make a random noise when it makes ice. It's not annoying but it would be nicer if the fridge was completely quiet.

My husband and I just recently purchased a Whirlpool Gold French Door (Freezer on the bottom) stainless look refridgerator ( model gi5fvaxvl00).  The fridge looks beautiful in our new kitchen.  The ice and water dispencer located on the front of the unit is saving us a lot of money now that we no longer have to purchase bottle water.  The vegetable and fruit humidity control bins are saving me money because my produce is staying fresher for up to a week or more longer than my old fridge.  You also get more space with the freezer being mounted at the bottom of the unit and it is more practical since you open the fridge part of the unit on a more consistent basis.  If you are worried about the stainless look over the true stainless don't be. That was a concern of mine too but for the difference in price I took the chance and it ended up paying off because it pairs beautifully with my other stainless appliances.  Great buy.  Shop around for the best price and do know that fridge prices are negotiable whether they say they are or not.  Especially in this economy.

What can I say about the Whirlpool French Door Bottom Freezer Refridgertor. It has everything my wife an I wanted when we had our kitchen redone. We knew we wanted french doors because we felt that they p[rovided more room for things inside. Boy was that an understatement. The space that this fridge provides is incredible. Not only is there adequate room on both doors for an assorment of different size condiment jars, but even the larger ketchup bottles fit (with room to spare)The bottom freezer is not only economical interms of energy, since we know that heat rises, but it looks beautiful. the silver/chrome finish augmented with black outline looks tremendous. Additionally, my dreams were fulfilled because My wifes french door bottome freezer fridge also came with an ice/water dispenser on the door. The dispensor can be fully illuminated or simply light up when being used. Take my word for it, this fridge has all the ammenities you could want .

From an appearance perspective, this refrigerator will surely give a facelift to any kitchen.  It is rich and substantial looking.  It does show fingerprints easily, but that is to be expected with any stainless steel product.  The interior of the refrigerator is pretty nice.  There are many shelves for organization.  They can easily be moved and re-aligned to allow for placement of large items, such as pizza boxes.  The freezer is a little dissapointing.  It can be a little annoying to have to bend down to find things in it.  Additionally, it seems to be a little smaller than a standard freezer.  The layout is such that there are 4 distinct areas to store food.  The top 2 shelves pull out.  The bottom 2 compartments are large tub areas.  Our freezer fills up quickly and requires frequent organization in order to find items.  The water and ice machine are a nice feature.  The water has a perfectly filtered taste.  The ice cubes are medium size but there is not an option to make crushed ice.

this new whirlpool refrigerator is just beautiful.  the stainless steel doors don't show fingerprints. the glass shelves are very nice because spills don't drip down to the bottom.  i'm not as impressed with the freezer because i have to bend over to get into it and since its a pullout with a basket thing are not just infront of me like i am used to in my old side by side. i also need to pull out the bin and i have noticed that sometimes the items under the basket get stuck on the basket. the width of the refrigerator compartment is a big plus since i can put wide things across a shelve and not have to worry about trying to fit things in.  the ice and water dispenser in the door was a must for us and it is very nice with a built in filter.  the ice compartment is in the refrigerator witch cut the space just a little bit. i also was used to having large shelves on the doors and these are not quite as large but they are easier to open the doors with the thinner shelves.

This is a really nice looking fridge.  We bought it to replace our 20 year old white Kenmore, very basic top freezer refrigerator, that was not Energy Star rated.  This Whirlpool works just as a fridge should, but I have a couple complaints. First complaint, even though this is a 24.5 cu ft fridge, as was my old one, there is way less storage space.  The ice maker/water dispenser take up a good amount of the upper left part of your fridge.  Also the french doors split up all the nice door shelves that I use to have in my old fridge and I've had to downsize the amount of sauces that I keep.  Since the freezer is a drawer, you loose all of that door shelf space as well.  The drawers have a divider down the center, which seems to limit the amount of stuff you can shove in there. My second complaint is that the top shelf in the fridge next to the ice maker is a freezer.  Anything I put there freezes, so I decided the only thing I can keep there is a nice bottle of hard liquor. Upon delivery, the ice/water dispenser was broken on arrival, but 3 appointments, 6 weeks later it is working great. My complaints are due to the fact that these are new features in a fridge that I never had before.  20 years from now when I buy a new fridge, I will not buy french doors.  And I might not get an ice/water dispenser either since it takes up so much of my storage space.

after looking around and filtering reviews on the internet by other users, we decided to purchase this Whirlpool refrigerator from local large kitchen appliance store.we are satisfied with our decision to buy this refrigerator. its look is very smart as freezer is on the bottom part. adjustable shelves and plenty of space for different types of servewares. we definately would like to recommand this refirgerator to others.
