Most HelpfulI purchased my Whirlpool Duet Washer and Dryer with a new home package in January 2008. While the delivery and installation went well, I was very pleased for the first 6 months. Then in July, the washer malfunctioned and gave me an F32 error code which was not identified in the owner's manual. ...
read full review »new user of frontload he washer. cleans BETTER than my top of the line GE top-load. quiet, inspite of location(laundry is off a long, high-ceilinged, TILED hallway_called an echo chamber). seal has draining baffle so water doesn't drip out when door is opened.
only regret-i didn't buy the stands-makes for stooping down too low. my plan is to rectify this week!
Whirlpool Duet Steam WFW 9500 TW 01, front loading washer only 1 1/2 years old - We travel a lot so we have not used this machine much since we purchased it. It started showing Suds light but it worked for a while then F35 error code started. I unplugged the machine, plugged it back in as the Whirlpool website recommended and it worked that way a couple of times. Now it's not working at all. I had other top loading washers and they lasted almost 10 years without problems. This is my first front loading machine. I wish I could get the old one back.
I have owned the Whirlpool Duet HT GHW9250ML1 Washing Machine since 2004. I purchased mine with the optional pedestal (drawer that opens out to store your detergents, fabric softeners and hangers). It raises the dryer height about 13 inches making the total unit height 15 inches.
The washing machine has many features: electronic controls, woolmark, smart dispensers, auto water level, larger load size, suspension system, stainless steel drum, high efficiency wash system, spin speeds, heating element, ACCUWASH automatic temperature control, add-a-garment, CATALYST cleaning action with direct...
read full review »We bought this Whirlpool Duet Front-Loading Washing Machine (and its companion dryer) because they came highly recommended by the salesman and a friend, and they sport great energy reviews. In fact, it's very difficult if not impossible to prove any energy or water savings. The machine does an acceptable job of cleaning, and the tub is quite large. It will not, however, hold as many pair of jeans as advertised, and I'm not talking about super-large sized jeans, either. The machine is a bit awkward to load and empty; I often drop clean clothes on the floor. If you buy the platforms to raise...
read full review »I have had my Whirlpool Duet washer for almost 3 years and have hated it almost as long. There are only 2 of us in the house and we don't produce that much laundry, yet I find I have to do 2 loads of colored clothes instead of the one I used to be able to do with my old top load. The capacity stinks, maybe that is my fault, I thought with only 2 of us I didn't need the larger capacity (and consequently larger bill!). Forget washing a single item, like the dog's blanket, half of the time when it is supposedly 'done' it is SOAKING wet because it didn't spin out so I have to put it back on the...
read full review »I have now owned My Whirlpool Duet for four years, and still can't feel the excitement for it. When I first saw that beautiful washer and dryer; I couldn't stop thinking about having those in my laundry room. Needless to say my dream came true. Unfortunatly the washer takes at least 40 to 45 minutes to wash a losd and that is set at normal wash. To do the sanitary wash thats one hour of using pure HOT water how is that energy wise MR. Whirlpool???. And then to dry it takes another hour OR more. And I set that to heavy thinking it would get hotter and dry quicker. And the wrinkles it set in at...

I have had this machine for about 2 years. It is consitantly broken. Currently we have the F11 code, which means it is a control module. It is always expensive to fix this machine. The door gasket alone is about $150.00 not including labor charges. It is around $75 just to have someone look at this machine. I would wait and purchase a machine in a few years when they get more reliable. For now stick with a top loader.
The machine works great, but only when it works. the actual machine seems to be solidly built. but the electric system is all screwed up. the machine can complain and blink error codes for hours for no good reason.
bottom line you do not want to pay full price for a product that can not be used 100% of the time. I would gladly change back to my 10 year old top loader, that i got rid of. what a mistake.
We've had our front loader for 15 months until it started displaying SUDS error message. We use HE liquid detergent so where did the suds come from. Then the dreaded F35 showed and the machine would just shut down. We removed front kick panel and checked the pump and tub to check if there was anything caught inside ... nothing. We ran diagnostics and got stuck with the first test - C00 before getting the F35.
Before this we had a Kenmore top loader for 13 years with only one problem - console light bulb went out.
I've had this machine for about 3 months now and am very happy with it. It really takes a lot of clothes and cleans them well. It is easy to use and very affordable, a good value for the money. It is energy efficient which is a very big plus in my opinion.
Great unit for the price and size. Had soem very minor problems but once fixed this machine has been a real joy.
