Whirlpool Duet - Washer Dryer Review

4.5 years of light use (just my wife and me) and the pulley on the drum came loose. Pulley cut into the outer drum, rounded the driveshaft requiring replacement of the inner drum, and ate the drive belt. Repair estimate with labor is $950. My serviceman said he's seen this problem a number of times before. So, I might assume that if I repaired it, I'd be in the same spot 5 years down the road. No thanks. Will not buy another one of these.

Dryer still works fine. Other than having to watch what and how much you put in it for spin balance,  the washer worked pretty OK.
