My clothes always smell musty

Pros

    sanitary wash cycle, cycle times short, stackable, easy to operate, Uses little water, easy to use, stylish, looks neat

Cons
    smelly, odor, mold, Too many items get caught in the ring, water leaks all over floor, severe mildew issue, SMELLS OF MOLD AND MILDEW, leaked having to replace gasket, fails regularly without completing cycle, BUT SMELLS HORRIBLE

I have the Whirlpool Duet Washer and Dryer. Once the honeymoon period was over, the clothes started to smell awful. After switching detergents and having to wash loads over again therefore wasting more electrictiy and water, I realized it's the washer's problem. I can't wait to get rid of it and get a good old top loader. I miss the smell of my fresh scented clothes. I don't mind the dryer. That I do intend to keep. The washer however, total disappointment. I can never get jeans of bed sheets or towels to smell nice.

I thought it was just me..my towels always smell too...also my dryer leaks water when my towels are drying
