Pros

    Uses little water, easy to operate, does a double load every time

Cons
    Main electronics panel died second year, very expensive, warranty not comprehensive, must disassemble to clean clogs, cycles are extremely long

Whirlpool Duet - Washer Dryer — 

I have been very disappointed with this washer.  As I stated above, it was $1000 for this machine and it died in the second year of service.  The warranty does not cover everything, and so I paid another $500 to repair the machine.  The cycles run extremely long- you can run two normal loads in the time that it takes to do one.  One cycle is actually 2 hours long!  It looks good on the floor, but my advice is to go with a different and cheaper washer!

I also had problem with long cycles until the repair man told me to use a minimal amount of HE detergent, 1-2 tablespoons only. The machine has a sensor to suds and will keep going if it senses any. By the way, I am also disappointed with this machine and dryer!
