There are a lot of large-capacity energy-efficient dryers out there now-a-days, but this Whirlpool Duet dryer is one of the best around.
The huge capacity fast drying time of this dryer allows me to easily keep pace with the washer. No more waiting for the dryer to finish before I can transfer loads! Also, this dryer has a sensor system which automatically sets your drying times and prevents wasting energy by running it longer than necessary. There are 8 different cycles and 5 different temperature settings so you are always sure to get an energy-efficient dry cycle.
The wrinkle shield setting has been a god-send! It provides intermittent tumbling to keep all my permanent press items from wrinkling, which is wonderful for when I need a little extra time before running down to the dryer to pull everything out. The cycle-over buzzer is also very helpful and can be set for a loud or quiet setting making it perfect for the basement or main living levels of your home.
Other features: There is a window in the door allowing for hours of entertainment! No really, this is nice to have since you can see what is going on without opening the door and losing some of the built up heat and hence losing some of that energy efficiency. Of course there is a light inside when the door is open so no more looking into a black hole trying to find that last black sock. The lint screen is right up front and hard to miss so you'll never forget to empty it. The door can be mounted on either side allowing easy access no matter how your wash area is setup. We got the optional pedestal with ours and love it! No more bending over means no more aching back. Plus the extra storage it offers is wonderful!
I have used this dryer for anything from bulky blankets to my most delicate sweaters and lingerie. Everything comes out dry and with minimal fiber wear or damage.
