Decent For the Price

This machine worked like all the others I owned prior to owning this one. The new gizmos and gadgets and fancy buttons make everything seem great. Then after a few washes you notice that nothing has improved in terms of the quality of the wash. Don't get me wrong, the clothes still come out spotless with only a few faded marks. But it's nothing to go home about. There hasn't been any noticeable improvement in the overall quality of the clothes to the machines I owned prior to this. The timer is loud when the wash finishes and is a good feature if you wash during the day. I wouldn't suggest washing overnight though. I don't know how easy installation is, since I had a local warehouse install it for me. For professionals though, it didn't seem to take them very long. It does contain a lot of clothes though, I was impressed with that. If you have a dinosaur machine that is loud and terrible, I suggest getting this machine. However, if you have a machine from recent years, I suggest you go with something else.

Satisfactory dryer

4

The Whirlpool duet clothes dryer is a very decent clothes dryer. I live in a house with a family of five, and we all depend on this clothes dryer to dry all of our clothes and towels all week. We love the front load design of this clothes dryer, because this makes it so much easier to load and unload the clothes dryer when drying our clothes. The controls on the front of this clothes dryer are fairly easy to use, which are easy enough that the older children in the house can operate it with ease and little complication. The price is fair, the load capacity is very good, and the performance is mostly satisfactory. We have owned this clothes dryer for over 5 years, and although it does continue to dry our clothes, it sometimes takes a little longer than it should and longer than it normally used to take. However, this might have a little bit to do with us keeping. Overall, this is a really great clothes dryer, but I am just afraid that we will soon be back out on the market looking for a new one.

Whirlpool Duet Dryer

5

We've had our Whirlpool Duet dryer for almost 9 years now and we have been impressed with it since day 1! This dryer dries the clothes extremely quickly and thorough every time. It has both automatic and manual (timed) cycles. I typically use the Normal cycle (automatic) with the "More" dryness level selected and it takes approximately 52 minutes to dry each load. It has a sensor inside that measures the moisture left in the clothes so it knows when to shut off automatically to save time and energy. The dryer has a very nice interior light so you can be sure to remove everything. The only feature I dislike is the lint filter. It is on the interior in the front and I find that if you don't remove the clothes before cleaning the filter that the lint can sometimes fall off and go into the dryer and attach onto the clothes. Overall, this has been a fantastic dryer and I would highly recommend it! Design Poor lint filter design

Pretty Good

We have had this dryer for about 6 years. It has been a great product. It dries our clothes quickly as you would expect. My only complaint is that about a year ago it started beeping continuously during the cycle after that finally stopped the left side of the display no longer works. So we just set the timer instead of an auto setting. I'm sure I could have a tech come look at it and it's probably a quick fix but since it is still working we are fine with this.

Great dryer, dries blankets quick

5

I have never had front loaders before so I can only compare with top loaders. I think this machine dries very well. I have used it over and over for blankets and it takes about 65 minutes to try a large blanket. Load Capacity Can hold large king size blankets. Performance Pretty quiet and dries well the first time. Ease of Use Very easy to use. Has a lot of buttons for a lot of different drying styles. Durability So far so good. I haven't had any problems. Design Love the front loader as I don't have to bend and hurt my back.

Whirpool Dryer not too Bad!

4

We have had this dryer for 6 months now. Most of the time I have no issues with this. Sometimes I get annoyed because it doesn't let me change the time for drying or heat level. Often times I have to run the dryer twice because my jeans are still wet or the sleeves of sweatshirts and sweaters. Overall, not too bad!

Get It With Steam

5

I love this dryer and it is very good. I only wish I had upgraded to the steam option. I did the washer with the steam, but in retrospect, it would have been more helpful on the dryer. Plus, maybe because the washer is the upgrade, but I find it easier to use. My main complaint with the dryer is that if I can't change any aspects of the auto settings. For instance I may want to put it on delicate and change the just the amount of time. I am not allowed to do that in the auto settings. I have to go through and select manual. It doesn't sound like a big deal, but it is kind of annoying. Otherwise, I love that it has options for settings and has an auto detect for the amount of dampness of clothes. It gets the job done! Load Capacity I'm always able to get everything that was in the washer and then some... Performance Again, it gets the job done. I rarely have to restart it to get it more dry. Ease of Use Easy to use, auto locks so my kids can't come up and play with the knobs and change my settings. I just wish I could put it on a auto setting and still change some things like time to dry, etc. Durability I have had no problems with it since I bought it over a year ago. Some scratches when it was being installed. The amount of sand and grime that gets piled on our dryer, though, I'm amazed we haven't had more. Design The door to our laundry room is broken so everyone can see this, but I'm find with that. I love this dryer!

A great time and money saving dryer.

I really love this dryer. It dries clothes very fast. We have had this dryer for about four years now, and the only thing wrong with it is a small crack on the front of the door from one of the three times it has been moved. We have ours on a pediatal and I am so glad that we do. It would be a little low otherwise. Also, the dryer did year up my bras until I started putting them in bags. That has helped very much.

The best dryer I have owned

5

We bought the Whirlpool duet combo a few years back and I could not be happier with it. Not only does it do a great job with our clothes, but I can fit my king size comforter in it and it does a wonderful job. Also great with the clothes that are hand wash only on the gentle cycle.

A great dryer that has cut drying time and costs in our house

I purchased this dryer because I got a great deal on it and needed a dryer. I really hadn't done my homework before going shopping and was desperate. This model won out because it was on sale for a great price. I'm SO glad it was! I do A LOT of laundry and am obsessive about sorting into colors and types. This means that I frequently wash several small loads instead of a few larger loads. My old dryer didn't dry small loads well. They seemed to get tangled as they tumbled and frequently items came out wrinkled. I don't have that problem with this dryer. It doesn't matter if it's one item or an entire load, it tumbles well and there are minimal wrinkles, even without the use of the Wrinkle Guard feature. The only issue that I've had with it is that knit clothing items with a thick waistband don't always get dry. The moisture that makes the thick waistband wet isn't enough to trigger the sensor to recognize moisture so the dryer shuts itself off believing the clothes to be dry when they may not be. It's not an issue if I get them out quickly and it's only a couple of things, but if I forget and leave them in overnight the clothes have to be rewashed or they have a sour smell from being left damp overnight. It's only knit fabrics that this is an issue with though. Jeans, comforters, anything else that I've tried hasn't been an issue. Overall this is a great product! Load Capacity Perfect set up for large or small loads. Performance Overall the performance is great, but I do have the issues mentioned in my review. Design Very compact for its capacity. It takes up significantly less space than my "traditional" dryer and has a much larger capacity.
