I wish I had read some review before buying this pice of junk! Whirlpool has done well in the past for us, so when we needed a new dishwasher we didn't hesitate to get the Quiet Partner II.
It is quieter than our old Maytag, but that is all I can say positive about it! Dishes often do not come out clean, especially if you put too much in ("too much" means not leaving lots of empty space). Soap is left on the glasses -- fill them up with water and we can see the bubbles floating on top! We have even tried different deteregents. Now we are in the habit of just rinsing out the "clean" glasses before using them.
Racks are basic at best, and do not accomodate any tall cookware (for example, there is no way to fit our pizza pan).
Utinsil basket needs rework -- badly placed (you have to be careful no to put anything too tall in the right side or it will block the soap door from opening). Little slots designed to keep silverware seperate are too small. What is worse, the thing sometimes falls open when carrying it to the silverware drawer because of the poor latch design. Nice overall idea, poor execution.
The electronic control pannel has default settings that cannot be changed. For example, "heated dry" will always auto-select. This is a pain for people who live in very dry climates like we do and don't need heated dry.
Overall, we are very dissapointed with this washer. If it consistently cleaned well and rinsed all of the soap off we would be fine with the other little problems. But a dishwasher that does not wash right is a failure to my way of thinking. We will never buy Whirlpool again without carefully checking out the reviews...the days of Whirlpool quality are obviously gone.
