Whirlpool Conquest Refrigerator Reviews

We bought our refrigerator at Lowe's. It worked very good for about 2 years, then, the main computer module went out. It was about $200.00 for the part not counting the labor to fix it. They say there is nothing wrong with it, but it has not worked right since. I know Whirlpool products are very good. I figured we just got the "1" that was the lemon. Other than that, I love the size and room. It hold a lot of food or drinks. It also has plenty compartments and gadgets that others don't have. It may not work perfect, but I'll be keeping it for a while (I HOPE)! 

We purchased a Whirlpool Conquest side-by-side Refrigerator with the ice dispenser and water dispenser in the door.  The kids Love the ice dispenser and water dispenser in the door.  I like the water dispenser especially since it purifies the water and keeps it cool.  We also have a Brita water filter pitcher, and I prefer the water from the "freezer" as the kids call it.  I have heard that side-by-side refrigerator/freezers do not hold as much as regular refrigerators, but I have not noticed a huge difference.  My big disappointment has been the fruit and vegetable drawers in the refrigerator...

After  the one year warranty ran out, the ice maker on our Whirlpool Conquest stopped working - - maybe because the trap door for the ice broke off!! We are a 2-member household so it's not like we over used the ice trap door. A little later the water spigot started to drip and we have to have a sponge under the water spout so it doesn't drip on the floor. When we bought this from Lowes, it was touted as being a "Super, high-rated 26 cubic foot unit" but we find it has much smaller inside space than our old 1987 GE 25CF Side-by-side that this was to replace. VERY disappointed and if it weren't...

We have had this fridge for about 5 years. My biggest complaint is the amount or the lack of space in the refrigerator. There are only 3 shelves, but it has 3 drawers. I thought the drawers would make up for the other shelf and they do not for me. I put things in the drawers and then I forget it's in there. Out of sight out of mind. It's nice that you can adjust the temperature in the drawers. This refrigerator is deep and things get lost in the back so easily.

I do love the looks of this Conquest on the outside. We bought it in the stainless and it is still just as beautiful as it was the day...

The whirlpool conquest refrigerator is a nice one but the ice maker doesn't last more than a year!  We have had it now for 5 years and still haven't gotten the ice maker fixed but still use it! Love the soda drink cooler on the door as it does get them cold pretty quick!  The light has quit working in the fridge part and we replaced the bulbs and it still won't work!!  Have no idea what's wrong with it now but will have someone come look at it soon!

This fridge for the most part works but: 1. door ice dispenser gets clogged with ice every week  2. Ice maker's ice got stuck as it tried to empty into the bin and it would stop making ice. 3. Had service by 2 different companies that whirlpool contracts and the ice dispenser still needs repairs (4 different occasions, 3 techs)  4. Have had this fridge since Dec. 08 and now Oct. 09 and having problems with whirlpool. They say that credit was issued at Lowe's but when I called Lowe's, they have no record of such credit. Will contact corporate now.

This refrigerator looks great and has plenty of storage space in the door; however, the ice maker is frustrating.  It appears to have a mind of its own and it will randomly stop working.  After awhile, it will begin working again.  It is quite frustrating when you plan to have people over and you aren't sure if it will be working that particular day or not.  Can't figure out any rhyme or reason for its behavior.
