I have used every popcorn maker imaginable. My whole family growing up, then myself and my children and grandchildren are popcorn fanatics.
If there was a new one out there to try, I tried it. I stuck to microwave poppers for years, because there was no messy cleanup. I much preferred, however, the taste of popcorn cooked in a little oil, but all the electric machines were impossible to keep ungunked.
Then I found the Whirley Pop at Ace Westlake Hardware last year doing Christmas shopping. I bought myself a red one. A side benefit that I didn't know was possible, and that I didn't expect, is that almost every single kernel pops. There might be only 2-3 "bullets" left after eating a bowl of popped corn.
And the cleanup is fabulous! It goes right in the dishwasher.
I cannot rave enough about this wonderful product.
