Where the Wild Things Are —

This is most definately one of my all time favorite childhood memories.  I can still remember my mom reading it to us and it was one of the first books in my life.

The story is cute and gripping enough to keep even the most attention challenged child spellbound by it.  The illustrations are wonderful, but I remember wondering why there weren't more bright colors in the pictures when I was little.

I was a very timid child and this book never scared me, but I guess it could be scary for some.  All in all, this is a book that I have bought for myself and intend to share with my children.
