Where the Wild Things Are —

Maurice Sendak's offering of equisite illustration and simple yet poignant story telling is one of the greatest classics geared towards young children. Where The Wild Things utilizes repetitive wording, encourages the young reader to attempt to read along;still the vibrant and detailed artwork holds the adults' attention read after read. The moral message of the story is a wonderful gateway to child/parent discussion even in the earliest years. Every bookshelf should have a copy of Where The Wild Things Are tucked amongst the masters.
