Childbirth can have its ups and downs and it can be especially stressful for those who are experiencing it for the first time. Fortunately, there are many pieces of reading material to help new parents cope with the changes that occur during pregnancy and to assist at finding answers to frequent questions. And probably the best known among them all is What to Expect When You're Expecting, a valuable reference guide that has been revised multiple times.
Book Commentary:
"What to Expect When You're Expecting" is considered by many to be the Bible of childbirth and pregnancy management. This guide...
If you're pregnant, or are trying to become pregnant, you NEED this book! I swear, it's like the Bible for pregnant women. Never has a book been more accurate, more useful, or more relative than this one. You will open this book, probably, every day while you're pregnant! I know I did.
The book has a section for each week that you're pregnant. And it gives little facts about what's going on with the baby and your body. How big is the baby on week 7? How much would it weigh? What's developing? When can I expect movement? When will I stop feeling so sick??? And it's accurate!...
read full review »"What To Expect When You're Expecting" really IS the pregnancy Bible! We bought our copy the day our doctor confirmed we were pregnant and turned to it constantly for the next nine months! I love the question-and-answer format; it made me feel so much better when I thought I had a stupid or embarrassing question about what was going on. It's a super-easy-to-follow chronological layout, and the detailed index made it extremely simple to find information on a specific topic or concern. It's also written in a casual, reassuring and humorous style. My favorite line is from the first thing we looked...
read full review »Great and easy read. I also got the Pregnancy Journal that goes along with this. I have read them both. They answer every question that you can think of. The newest update is really laid out a little better than the latter one. I bought one at a garage sale and read it and kept thinking that some of the information was a little dated. And it was. I started reading the new one and already found differences. Even though the overall layout is the same some of the boxes are a little different. Best wishes to you
This book has answered tons of quetions my husband and I have had over the past 6 1/2 months. When we first found out I was pregnant, it was really scarry to do anything the same again. This book really helped guide us to a comfortable way of knowing what to do and, so far, has covered every aspect we've had concerns about.
This book was on my night stand during my pregnancy. I read it every night and also used it as a reference when I felt something weird. It was good for my husband too, I caught him several times reading the book.
I also signed up for the online newsletter and I am still receiving tips, appropriate for my baby age
