When most people hear the name Westinghouse, they think of refrigerators and other large appliances. But Westinghouse also makes televisions and one popular model is the Westinghouse LCD Flat Screen Television. This LCD television offers good sound and a good picture, with a price that makes the Westinghouse LCD Flat Screen Television easily affordable. “It is Very Impressive and a Bargain”, says one reviewer, and it also offers an optional sub- model with a built in DVD player. On the negative side, the remote control is not very intuitive and the Westinghouse service is not the most knowledgeable in the business. But the Westinghouse LCD Flat Screen Television is still a very good, highly rated Television Set that offers consumers the means to buy an LCD without going deeply into debt.

I really like our 37" Westinghouse Monitor. We picked it up during an after Christmas sale for $799 and we haven't found any quality 1080p TVs that are close to that price since.

Westinghouse?  Was told by an experienced repair tech that LG, Sony, Samsung, Panasonic, Toshiba all are longer lasting, easier to work on when (& if) needed and doesn't put the repair facilities on the "send it in to us if you want parts or drawings" route like Westinghouse is apparently known for. ... read full review »

I received this tv from a Black Friday Special 2006 from Best buy. I hadn't heard much about the brand, but from a friend I worked with.

One guy bought the Sharp Aquous and he had all these problems, but the guy with the Westinghouse had no problems. The TV has 2 AVI connections, DMVI, and HDMI.
The picture clarity is great! The sound quality could be better because sometimes when a loud commercial comes on it doesn't equalize the sound level.

All in All, I believe it was great buy for the price and for the amenities.

I have the 40 inch with dvd and i love it!
willing to pay more for quality, gadget geek, technically savvy, into trying new things, cable user, a pet owner, adventurous, LCD owner

I bought the 40 inch and i really like it. It was also much cheaper and seriously if you can really tell the difference you watch way to much TV. I had to have the one with the DVD built in as well. It is a front loader and looks very good. It has HD tuner built in as well. I love it and it was under $1000 at Sam's club.

I was suprised by the quality of this 46" HD TV.  Everyone is impressed at the quality.  However, when I purchased a second one, I had problems.  When I called the Westinghouse tech line, the tech actually asked if I had the plug plugged into the television and into the wall.  Ouch.  However, I returned it with no problem whatsoever.

Westinghouse seemed to make a good tv. Its a 46 inch tv, so its a good size the only thing is that its not a 1080p. Its a high definition tv. In my opion its a bargan at its price. the only problem i have with it is when you buy a tv at that size you have to have a 1080p for higher resolution because the bigger it is the mopr megapixils you need.

I have 2 westinghouse lcd tvs. I love them both, the picture is amazing and they are very affordable. Maybe a sony or samsung plasma has a better picture/color, but it would be triple the price. I think the picture/color/sound on these tvs are comparable to many other tvs, and MUCH better than the cheap crappy brands like insignia.

Westinghouse HDTVs including this one are outstanding. You definitely get what you pay for. You won't be disappointed. It comes with a built in ATSC tuner and the picture is amazing.
