CrapTacular!

I bought this new and it lasted about 14 weeks. The retailer told me they dont cover it over 90 days so I had to contact Westinghouse (used to be a quality American brand name, for those old enough to remember) They made me send emails, long hold phone calls and even take pictures to send them... as in "take a picture" of a DEAD TV! If for some unknown reason someone was lying, they would just turn the TV off and take the picture. Made no sense. So after jumping through all their hoops and paying to ship the TV back they send me a refurbished Model DW32H1G1. It had a scratch on the screen. A small but annoying spot that was white and distracting in the middle of the screen. The plastic sides of the set were covered in protective coating when shipped but NOT the screen. Why? So back to the emails and picture taking. Weeks later they sent me instructions on how to download a "pixel fix" and thier policy of NOT replacing sets if under a certain amount of pixels were damaged. I replied #1) It's not a pixel, it's a scratch... with texture one can feel and #2) My set is not connected to the internet. They never replied. That was 2 months ago and I'm not optimistic the set will last anyway. I remember TV's lasting for over 10 years! This brand is now junk. Invest the few dollars more and get a better brand. You'll be happy in the long run... and by "long run" I mean in maybe as short as a few weeks!

Good TV

Perfect TV for our bedroom; small enough to fit on the dresser but large enough to see while lying in bed. Picture Quality The picture quality is very good, and clear. Once in awhile I notice a fuzziness or distortion across the top pixels, and although that could be the satellite or digital channel we are watching, I have not noticed it on our other television. Sound Quality We have never had a problem with the sound on this tv. It is plenty loud enough and clear as a bell. Durability This TV has been moved twice and used a lot but we have noticed no issues. The housing, stand and buttons are all intact and have no cracking or breaking. Design This is a simple tv, so there are not a lot of settings to mess with. I do like that it has real buttons and not a touch screen so if you need to turn it on or off in the dark it is simple. Performance We haven't had any issues with the performance. It turns on and off, the volume goes up and down when it is supposed to.

Television was not as expected

My mother in law owns a Westinghouse television that she absolutely loves. I take my children to her home regularly and the television seems to have a great picture and sound. We connect my digital camera to the television using a USB wire and we can view family trips and outing that Grandma couldn't attend. I was impressed so much so that I bought a Westinghouse 32 inch television for my own home. I wasn't sure if I wanted to invest in a regular flat screen television because 3-D and Smart televisions seem to be the newest in technology when it comes to televisions. But I found it at a great price online, which is where I can usually search and find the best prices on electronics. When I first received the television I was pleased, but then the picture started looking blurry and the sound would sound almost as if it was muted at times. I had to return it. I'm not sure if I just got a bad television out of the bunch, or it was damaged while being shipped to my home. I definitely think my mother in law's Westinghouse television is a nine, but the one I received is a six.

Good value for your money

We bought this product to replace a TV in our living room that went out. At the time we didn't have much money to spend on a TV and the Westinghouse happened to be on sale so we decided to give it a try. I feel that for the price it is a good value. Picture Quality Compared to another TV that we also have it's not a better quality picture but for what we paid for it we are very content. Sound Quality I feel that the sound can be a bit muffled when put up load. If there was one critique I would give on the TV it would be the sound. Because of our disappointment with the sound we decided to add a sound bar which has helped. Durability We've had it a few years and it's still going strong. No major problems at all. Design We were actually pretty impressed with the design of this TV for the price. We actually prefer the design of our Westinghouse over another TV we have that we paid a lot more for. Performance As far as performance we have been very impressed. It is pretty much no different than your higher or more popular brands.

Do your research before purchasing.

I was looking for an extra television to buy for the kid's room and settled on this because of the low price. I wish I had done more research of reviews beforehand, though. Right away I had a problem with the screening just going black for no reason. I would have to shut the television on and off a few times to get the picture back, not cool. also had some issues with the remote control, seems like we had to be way to close to the television to get the thing to even work. Picture Quality The picture quality is actually pretty good, when the screen is not going black! Sound Quality I had issues with the sound as far as the speaker settings. I could not get them to hold the settings I would put them on and found the sound pretty weak. Durability Does not seem like a very durable unit at all. Design The design is okay. It is thin and lightweight. The stand it comes with is pretty nice too. Performance This had way to many function errors for me to rate it good on performance. I ended up returning it because of it's poor performance.

Good, solid TV for the price.

I got the TV on sale several years back and it is still working the same as when it was brand new. Sound, picture quality, and overall performance is what would be accepted for a midline HDTV. I have yet to have any problems with the TV. DVDs and video games both look above average when watched on this TV. If you're looking for a durable TV at a more than reasonable price, I would definitely recommend this Westinghouse.

Now I get it!

It's a fact that women don't care as much about HD as men do. Well, that used to be the case until I got my very own Westinghouse 32 inch HD TV. After easily mounting it on the wall (all by myself, it hardly weighs anything at all) I fell in love with the amazing picture quality and sound. Movies and TV shows really do look so much better, especially something that you are used to watching in non-HD lol. The only thing that annoys me is the connections are at the back of the TV, making it difficult when you have to plug in a cable or something like a DVD player or game system. I also am not such a fan of the cords hanging out the bottom of the TV once it's wall mounted, but all TVs seems to have the same issue. The remote control took some getting used to but is very easy to switch from function to function and works smoothly and effortlessly. It was very easy to set up and personalize the TV itself, and every day I love watching more and more. Great brand, very high quality product and sturdily built. I am confident it will see me through for years to come.

Donot buy. Burnt out cells in 3 yrs

2

This would have made for a great tv, as price on this brand is usually affordable, but the fact that it lasted 3 yrs with no troubles and then we started to see Burnt out cells, you can see the burnt cells when lighter images appear and even if you buy a service plan, they do not cover burnt cells. So if you are buying any tv and getting a 4 yr service plan(which is a great idea otherwise) check if they cover for burnt cells. For the first three years , before it failed, it worked just fine. Works with HDMI cable and has enough inputs for all your gadgets like wii, Xbox or play station. The Av input hover is just one, so we did have to replace cable every time we choose to watch a DVD or play wii.

A Good TV with good graphics.

This television is good. It has a nice large screen and can play back analog/satellite television into the house without a converter box. When it turns on, a button in the center of the screen turns on a bright blue, then the picture and audio takes about five seconds to be shown and heard after it is turned on. The picture is good and the sound is great. However, my version of this television set was not so durable. I have had it for about four years or so and I had to recently throw it away because it would not work anymore. The sound was still perfect, but the picture would not show (pretty much, it was almost like a radio, since the picture was not on the screen). Other than that, this television set worked well throughout the years that I have had it.

Good value for a HD television

4

I had never had a flat screen television. I also never had a HD television. When it came time to replace my ancient tube television, this is the one I bought. I cannot remember the exact reason why I chose this model. It was probably on sale. However, it has been a great purchase. The picture is clear. HD is great. Sound quality is good. DVDs look good. I can play XBOX. I mean, what else do I need in a television? My one complaint is that my cable company's remote does not work to turn on and off the television, so I have to use the remote that came with it to turn it on and off. Small complaint, however. I have my laptop hooked to it as well so that I can stream online things to it. Great purchase that I have been happy with.
