Western Digital WDXMS1200 Passport Portable Hard Drive — 

Not much bigger than a thumb drive
Not much more expensive then a 4GB thumb drive
Has a ton more storage and options

I have a bunch of thimb drives that I used to carry around - in fact, it was an awkward pocket full that I would carry around.  Now I've got one of these and I don't have to worry about running out of room anymore plus I dont have to worry about losing one of the drives now either.  It's all contained in one nice neat package.
