My wife and I are avid digital photographers and take pictures at a phenomenal rate, easily shooting a couple hundred pictures in an afternoon. I Traditionally, desktop drives (3.5-inch) have always been the ones to have larger capacities over notebook drives (2.5-inch) due to the physical size. That changed just a few months ago with the introduction of the Western Digital WD2500BEVS 250GB SATA Laptop drive . — Running at 5400RPM, it isn't the fastest (compared to a 7200RPM), but certainly the largest we've seen to date.
