I had my old crock pot 20 some years and I actually loved how this new crockpot cooked until the lid broke.  Call me old fashioned but I think it should last more than a year.  The knob on the lid is  what broke and it is just poorly designed.  A long screw goes through the whole lid and knob and...

I am a stay at home mom with 2 kids, and have a sick parent to take care of.  The slow cooker works well on busy days and cooks evenly and keeps things warm untill we are ready for them.  It is a time saver and money saver Although It is  time saver nd money saver, it is rather bulky and hard to clean.  You cannot put in dishwasher, and it is a lttle too large to fit in sink.  other than that I have no complaints about this item.  And I guess all slow cookers are hard to clean..;
