I was looking for a can opener that was tall, quiet, and in the color red, which my kitchen is decorated in and there was alot of options out there to choose from, but when i saw this can opener, my gut instinct told me to choose this one, even though it was higher priced than the others. I'm so glad that i stuck with my gut instinct on this one. This gas to be one of the best can openers ever, and i have owned many from cuisinart to black and decker. This is a heavy can opener, so there's no need to worry in a can tipping it over, It's really quiet, easy to clean and perfect for the taller cans to open. The red color is absolutely beautiful and i have had no problems with this can opener ever. I highly reccomend this to every one.

I believe that a can opener only has one purpose in life....to open cans. That being said, this can opener has achieved my high standards. It opens cans with ease and have yet to fail. The West Bend 77205 Electric Can Opener easily opens cans and unlike many other brands, it cleanly cuts tops of cans without issue. This can opener has no problems of my previous can opener. Many low cost can openers quickly fail or do not make clean cuts. On the other hand, this opener is easy to use and you don't have to try and it is not difficult to link up can and open it. I would recommend this can opener to my friends and family especially people who have had bad experiences with other budget can openers.

This electric can opener is amazing! We would go through manual can opener after manual can opener, all ending up broken or just not really working after only a few uses. We always said we'd never get an electric can opener, but after a particularly frustraing bout with a manual, we decided we needed to! So we bought this West Bend Electric Can Opener and it has been so wonderful! It takes approximatley 8 seconds to open a can, no hassle at all. It is a little tricky to figure out how to attach the can at first, but after a few times it becomes easier and not a problem at all. I would recommend this can opener ANY day to anyone! It has saved us so much wasted time trying to use a manual one. Try it! You won't regret it.

I received the **West Bend 77205 Electric Can Opener** as a gift. At first I thought it would sit in the cupboard, unused, because I have never thought that using a traditional manually operated can opener is such a burden. How many appliances do you need? Just for fun, though, I decided to put it on the counter and use it (especially since mine is red and pretty). It makes opening cans really fun! It works consistently. The motor is quiet. It has a bottle opener and knife sharpener. I do really like the design, and it also can accommodate tall cans. Again, it's not a NECESSITY, but it might be a good option for those who have arthritis. I also like that you can put the detachable parts in the dishwasher. It stays pretty clean, though, on its own.

Hi, I use to own The West Bend 77205 Electric Can Opener when I use to stay in the apartments over on the other side of town. I bought it to open can foods and to be of a good grace with myself and so I would not cut myself to much. Well, anyway the can opener opened many cans of vegetables and soups. I use to love my boiled chicken and vegetables together and sauteed down. I love the way the can opener opens it with not to much sound coming out of the can opener. I love the way the can opener leaves a even sharp edge of the can. The top of the cans well trimmed down to throw in the trash. I think I would buy another one if I had the money. I have not had one lately because I have a hand held one.

I don't use many metal canned products (most of my "canned" products are home canned in jars!) but I do find myself using the occaisonal can of vegetables or fruit when there aren't any good sales on fresh product (just in January and Feburary around here). I have nothing against a manual can opener, and actually prefer them, but the electric can opener really does make opening cans a breeze and allows for the little people in our lives to help out in the kitchen! This is a very safe product for children to use in the kitchen and it is also very stylish, which makes leaving it out on the kitchen not seem to "ugly" and also increases how much I use it as opposed to reaching for a manual opener. This is a great product, probably more for people who use more cans though.

After struggling with manual can openers for many years, I was pleasantly surprised when my hubsand brought home the West Bend Electric can opener . Wow, does it do the job well. For some reason I lack the skills to manually open cans without a bit of a struggle . Since we got home the West Bend electric can opener, opening cans is such a breeze. This can opener is a big one and can open all sizes of cans from the small ones to the larger ones . It does not tip over but is sturdy enough to hold te bigger cans well and open the lids. All I need to do is pop the can under and hit the button, the lid is out quick and efficiently. The opener stops when the lid is out fully and the magnetic part holds the lid open . I have never had issues with paper or labels getting stuck . Another thing to like about it is that it looks very elegant and looks good in my kitchen! I'm very impressed with this product and definitely give it a full five stars!

I have the West Bend Electric Can Opener in black, and it looks and complements well with all the other stainless steel and black machines in my kitchen countertop. This is my first can opener, and I am wondering why I never made this purchase sooner! I don't really buy a lot of canned goods to begin with but when I do, I actually really dislike opening cans manually because it's both time consuming and kind of dangerous! I'm always scared that I'll somehow cut myself in the process. With this electric can opener, you can easily slip the can into the machine and it will start and stop automatically. It's fairly quiet and fast! Pretty amazing stuff! There's also a knife sharpener and bottle opener but I haven't used those features yet. This can opener will make a great gift!

I love this can opener.  It nearly grabs the can right out of your hand to latch on and comes off just as easily.  I have never had to adjust it or try twice...it opens first time around!  I highly recommend this product!

The West Bend Electric Can Opener is great. First off, let's discuss the look of the can opener - it is cool looking!  It is modern enough to leave out on your counter top for use.  No need to hide this baby away in a cupboard!  Plus it works very well - it handles all sized cans with ease and is sturdy enough to attach a can and walk away.  Not to mention the back of the can opener has a bottle opener and a knife sharpener which really can come in handy. I love that it also has a cord that is built into the unit, so if you do have to store it, the cord fits right into the back of the opener for easy storage.  No more winding the cord around the appliance and then trying to store it in a cabinet!  Honestly, I just like it because it is functional and it is also attractive.  It's crazy to say about a can opener, but it is true.  And again - the knife sharpener was a real plus in my book.  No need for three appliances when you have all three in one!
