West Bend 3 Qt. Oval Crockery Cooker Review

I have had this crockpot for something like 8 to 10 years. It still works great and looks almost brand new after all this time.

When I first got it I was replacing one of the tall crockpots. This one was much more practical. I love the oval shape. Much better for cooking things that are oblong like a roast. 

For a long time I was a single mom. Trying to cook a good dinner for two kids after a long day at work can be quite a chore. With this crock pot I could cok almst any type if meat and vegetables and the kids had a really good meal instead of having to wait for the weekend. May times I got home late and found the crock pot half empty! It also works really great for soups. My chicken soup made in this crock pot has became a family favorite. All I had to do was throw in some fresh veggies and spices, some broth and some frozen boneless chicken on the top. By the time I got home all I had to do was cut up the chicken and mix it in. That might spund like a lt of work for the am but I just put it all together before going to bed and threw it in the fridge and then put it on before leaving for work.

Also great for making applesause to take to a family holiday meal. On Christmas morning I wanted to spend my time with the kids (on the years I wasn't making the holiday dinner). Just put the applesauce on overnight and it is ready in the morning.
