I sometimes wear contacts. I have a severe astigmatism in my left eye and have to wear toric lenses to correct that. And I wanted colored contacts. Not colorblends. A total color change. My doctor ordered me two pairs of Wesley Jessen Durasoft 2 Optifit Toric Colors Contact Lenses, one in blue and the other in green. I bought the green and loved them. I still wear them and still love them!

The Lenses

These contact lenses are made specially for those with astigmatism and come in blue, green, grey, and hazel. That is a limited number of colors but we toric lens wearers must endure indignities such as not having violet as a choice for lenses for now.

These lenses are made to last about a year with daily wear, longer if you wear them on and off. They come in single vials, little bottles rather than plastic cups.

The colors are vibrant and completely conceal your real eye color. Honestly, no one I met knew I had brown eyes when I wore my green lenses. The blue were very, very bright and I think people may have been drawn to my eyes and questioned if someone with such dark hair really had that color blue eyes. But the green? Nobody thought twice. Even under bright lights and outdoors, these lenses looked natural.

My Experience

I have trouble finding contacts to fit me right. They are always slipping and blurring or drying my eyes out so, when I told my eye doctor that I wanted colored lenses, he cringed. We had just found the right clear lenses for me after about 100 tries and now I wanted colored lenses.

He ordered pair of blue and a pair of green Wesley Jessen Durasoft 2 Optifit Toric Colors Contact Lenses for me to try.

I actually liked both colors. My husband, however, thought the blue were just too bright and didn't look natural. The actual lenses looked natural - not pixely or fake - but the color was too bright. So, I opted for the green lenses. They seemed to fit the very day I got them and didn't have any breaking in time at all.

These lenses need to be taken out at night and can be worn for up to 16 hours. I had no trouble putting them in and only the tiniest amount of slippage which quickly corrected itself. My vision was just about as sharp as with my clear lenses.

I was truly amazed at how natural these lenses looked. They didn't blend with my eye color. They CHANGED my eye color. I was someone else when I had my green eyes in.

I wore them daily for a while, then switched around between my clear ones, my hazel colorblends (see review) and the green. It's fun to change your eye color! It changes your whole look!

These lenses are a bit pricey but they are durable and very sharp. I have had my green lenses for a long time and they still fit and feel fine when I decide to be green-eyed Patty.

If you need toric lenses and crave colored contacts, Wesley Jessen Durasoft 2 Optifit Toric Colors Contact Lenses are very natural, comfortable, and durable. They will change even the darkest of eyes to blue, green, hazel, or grey and no one will know you are wearing colored contacts.

Paris Hilton is really brown eyed. Did you know that? She wears colored contacts to get that blue eyed look. I don't know if she wears this brand but the color change these give is as good as the ones Paris wears. That natural and that long wearing.

These don't build up protein and don't need extra care. I take them out, put them in solution and pop them in and I am ready to go.

I have to go with 5 stars. We toric lens wearers are limited in our choices of colored lenses and, of those colored lenses, I believe Wesley Jessen Durasoft 2 Optifit Toric Colors Contact Lenses are the most natural, durable, and comfortable of them all.
