Refinancing closing is too high

1

My 2 houses with Wells Fargo mortgages. I tried to refinance 1 of my house with them to lower my rate. I want only 135000 for refinance. I did everything all they need in the computer and my credit score is 820 which is excellent. I was connected one of their specialist. Everything goes well but when I ask how much the closing cost. I want only 5 yr arm. I was shock when the specialist told me about more than 8000 for closing cost. Is this worthed to refinance my house with a closing cost of more than 8000?

Avoid At ALL Costs!

I am closing my checking and savings accounts with the bank after my mortgage experience. Credit score of 800 yet asked to upload over 75 documents, phone calls never returned, they don't care that you have a lot of time and money spent in the home purchase process... actually they just don't care period. They are incompetent and have shady business practices. I can't wait until rates go down and I can refinance and get away from them, never to return again. They could offer a 0% loan and I would still tell them to stuff it.

We have all heard the nightmare deals that just seem to blow up at the most pristine time, either right before closing or just after you deposited your hard earned money into escrow. Before I start this review I just want to give you a quick background I was a Mortgage Professional in the past and although I may know how to navigate the Mortgage Industry, this is a completely different governed era of Lending. It now requires a true Mortgage Professional to help your family navigate this so-called new age underwriting process. Now, the biggest piece of advice I can give anyone about to embark on this adventure we all call Purchasing is this: 1. Be Organized, and when I mean organized I mean extremely organized. 2. Build yourself a TEAM of true professionals which includes Lawyers (in some states), a Real Estate Agent and a true Mortgage Professional and 3. Rely on your Team for support, guidance and ultimately success. I dealt with possibly one of the top Rated Loan Officers at Wells Fargo Kevin Dayton, a true professional and I cannot begin to explain to you how impressed I was with his team of Loan Processor's and Underwriter's. Always, a phone call away and always 2 steps ahead of the file. Although, we hit some bumps Kevin was available for support and his Team responded immediately. I don't believe that every Loan Officer realizes for most of us so-called clients our HOME is our biggest asset, but I can assure you at Wells Fargo they are prepared and knowledgeable enough to make your Dreams come true. Last piece of advice, work with your Team and never forget they are working with you. Kevin Dayton should be your first call for one reason only, "He has the knowledge, skills and support to make a DREAM, REALITY". For those of you thinking I work for the company, I don't. I was a customer who recently purchased a home for my family and I've never seen my wife so happy until she turned that key for the first time to OUR NEW HOME.Thank you Wells Fargo.

Horrible experience

Worked on re-financing for two months with wells fargo. They have a bad habit of telling one thing and doing another. The person we dealt with couldn't answer our questions beyond the standard, pre programmed answers. She didn't know how the appraisal was arrived, who within her department was dealing with the appraiser, why the appraisal was done twice and lowered each time. The appraiser used was rated by the BB as C+ and in a different state then the property was located. wells Fargo is obsolete and out of touch with value of properties and the means to arrive at solid numbers. Very disappointing experience, time consuming and expensive. Try another bank if you want better results.

We have had all of our investments with Wells Fargo for more than 12 years. We remain with them today only because of our long time association with our Broker. When he retires, as a matter of principle, we're taking our investments and going to another bank. Their Mortgage Division never gave us the respect we deserved after all the years we've been their customers, our very high credit ratings and our substantial portfolio. They treated us as someone off the street when we applied for a mortgage with them. They placed restrictions on the acceptance of the loan that no other financial institution did and yet they knew us for 12 years! We were fortunate to receive a loan from a bank who never had any prior dealings with us! Shame on Wells Fargo's Mortgage Division. I highly suggest you seek a mortgage anywhere else, but at Wells Fargo. Don't waste your time with them.

My boyfriend has been working on a mortgage with them for over10 weeks. They don't return calls or emails for several days and usually after 3 to 5 messages are left and then their answers are not responsive to your questions. They ask for things that don't make sense and then they say they will check on a response to your questions but the next time you talk to them, they act like they have never heard the question. They asked for records on my home and neither I nor my home were on the mortgage application.

Same as all the other complaints. I wish I had never used them. Just horrible and unprofessional. Paying more than $100 per month than was told! STAY AWAY! Use a local mortgage company... They should be audited and held accountable.

So, husband and I found our dream property. We both fell in love, put an offer on it when we saw it and called WF the next day to get preapproved. Husband spoke with them Tues, told them all the info and that we were planning to sell our current house after the move. They preapprove us w/great rates & bonuses. We're thrilled, naturally. That Friday, I receive an e-mail thread from my real estate agent saying WF can't help us because it's a pre-1976 manufactured home. WF themselves never bothered to contact us about this, and in the e-mail it's basically "we can't help you, sorry for the inconvenience".. Inconvenience?! This is a huge problem you should have seen from the start! Luckily, our realtor gets it fixed on a technicality and everything is good to go with the original plan w/WF. Our case gets passed to a different guy and we never hear from the first girl again. He continually reassures us everything is fine, and starts asking for many. many documents. (I sent one in as requested, and it was rejected because it wasn't on their form, which was never provided in the first place). On the NEXT Friday, I receive numerous requests for more docs, one of which is a statement of net proceeds from the sale of our current house. Huh?! I called WF immediately and am now informed that they were NEVER planning to finance us while we have our current mortgage on our record. He was all "oops, she should have told you". So now, suddenly, we have 6 wks to sell our current house and have made no preparation to do so because it was never the plan. Which means we're scrambling to get ready and we'd take a 10-20k loss on price, to move it that quickly. 2 MAJOR issues in 2 weeks, and we're not even through the application part yet! Hubby & I got fed up and called USAA. Got a better rate, shorter closing date AND we can keep both mortgages. Were told we're well qualified for it even with both. Moral of the story: be VERY careful who you want to deal w/for the next 30 years!!

Sent a payment in on time they called me two weeks after I sent it and said they had not received my payment and that I was in default and that if I hadn't paid by the end of the month it would go on my credit report. I told them that I sent the payment in and they told me they didn't know where it was and they didn't receive it and that I should go and pay online. I put a stop on the check that I sent them and I paid the bill online a week later they found the check that they accused me of not sending and cashed it not as a check as an online transaction and withdrew it directly from my account messing me up for the entire month and making other checks bounce. When calling them to find out what happened there was nothing they could do and unless I could prove that I'd sent the check before the 16th they would not withdraw the late fee of $100. Even though they had lost. When asking why they ran it as a online transaction and not a paper check which is why it was never stopped they said that they didn't understand that wasn't their problem. Thanks to my banking institution they understood and help me out and got it all sorted out Wells Fargo helped zero.
