Wells Fargo Home Mortgage —

so, me and my husband and my son took a big step in our lives and moved 2500 miles away from everything and everyone that we knew due to my husband gett a really awesome job over. who would have thought that in less than a year and us being so young (21 and 23) that we would be being our first home. What was suppose to be the happiest and one of the most exiting days of our lives actually ended up being one of the stressful EVER!
We went with wellsfargo morgage because thats who we have banked with since we were 16 years old. And well, i guess people realy do learn from their mistakes. SHOP AROUND people shop around. the lady that we were working with made everything sounds like it was all good to go everything was done and all we had to do was be there with pen in hand to sign and be done on the stated date. Well four days before we closed, she called stating that she was missing once again some forms that i had already faxed to her three times prior to this, and that she had to have them by that thursday to be elegible to receive the down payment assistant program. so i did, some how i got everything that she needed, so once again she said alright its good to go. I checked, double checked and even asked a third time " do i need to being ANY MONEY with me for ANYTHING" she said no. its all good, you will actually be being reimbursed 490.00.  I was excited!!
I get there to sign papers and the lady at the title companys says, it says here that you will be bringing 109 dollars, not a big amount AT ALL, but after being told one thing by the morgage company i was a little confused, called wellsfargo talked with her again, and she said well i dont know what that is about.. blah blah blah. do you have the money? yes of course i told her, but i want to know why it goes from me being reimbused to me owing in a matter of one buisness day.
needless to say, i ended up having to over 700 dollars that day to get my house, it was either that or be screwed out of my house, and all the money we had already paid for everything such as inspections and our escrow check.
she ended up under estimating the closing costs, but since she was oh so nice she ended knocking off 50.00 dur to it being her fault. WOW, thanks! ya right!
there are many other problems we had with them during this process that would take me days and days to type out. but that, to me, was a big deal.
NEVER AGAIN! ALREADY WANTING TO REFINANCE OUR HOME THROUGH ANYONE BUT WELLSFARGO!!

I'm right there with you! I've been getting kicked around by Wells Fargo Home Mortgage for the past three weeks. I have to pay a per diem expense to the sellers because the underwriter's screwups have put us behind our closing date. As of now I don't even know if we're closing at all! If this falls through i'm out $10,000 and homeless since we already gave our notice to our landlord. What a train wreck these people are. I'm already looking for another company to refinance with "if" we close with WFHM.

I am Right there with you on this. Same experience for me almost. Day before closing they requested two documents that I had already sent to them at least once. Now I am sitting here on what should be one of the greatest days of my life, buying my first house, so angry over the ineptness of the company as a whole that I am ready to back our of the whole deal. How long does it take to get documents from the bank to the title company once everything is done with underwriting? Apparently 3 days minimum. I haven't even closed yet and, even though I did get a very favorable interest rate on my loan, am counting the days until I can refinance out of wells fargo. I am also going to move all of my accounts out of wells fargo as soon as everything closes and will be looking elsewhere for my new business loans. Overall I would say this experience has coast Wells Fargo around a million dollars in near term biz from me. Do Not Go Through Wells Fargo!!

I hate to say we have had the exact same experience as you. We STILL HAVE YET TO CLOSE and our loan officer gave us the imprression that everything was all good and we would even close early. Instead, 4 days before we were to move in he came up with an incredible amount of last second requests (including multiple items we had already provided to them) and we are currently 7 days past our 30-day close and STILL are not sure when he can get the loan documents to us. And his communication to us has been beyond awful, entire days of not getting back to us or returning our calls. I wish we had gone through a different bank!!
